I met Stanton Friedman today!

He was in Exeter NH at the UFO convention. As soon as his speach was over he was swarmed by the "tin foil hat people". I heard him say out loud, "how do I know what they did with the bodies".
That is exactly why I have always admired Mr.Friedman, as he very much distances himself from the UFO wacko's who make the field of UFO research look silly. I had him sign my copy of UFO's and science and I made him smile when I told him I am sorry that the raindow haired tin foil hat wearing peole are a pain in the ass. He happily made the blue haired nuts wait until he signed my books and referd to me as Jason of Argo. I am so glad I met him as it was one item on my bucket list.

He seems like a really cool guy. Glad you got to meet him.

I dig Stanton Friedman. I was happy to continue developing an interest in such things as UFOs partly because of Friedman's professionalism, and Richard Belzer's insistence that you don't have to be a nut to believe things like the Roswell incident. (Belzer even wrote a book about that).

It was pretty helpful to see that *all* the UFO people aren't the tinfoil hat types.

He is one of the few people that I think who has a real good head on the subject. He seems to keep himself close enough to the subject but far away from the nut jobs.

He is a hero in my book. Would love to have the chance to meet him.

Mr Friedman is one of the handful of Ufologist that I tend to like. He has his faults, but dont we all. I just think that he is one of the "fairest"

I always paid attention to Stan, he is the best there is and was imo. He really got me interested in the subject as a young man after my first UFO sighting. I could probably credit Stan more than the unknown object i seen for my fascination with he topic. He keeps you on your toes and yes he is far from the lunatic fringe. Too bad the old school guys nlike Friedman and Mackabee are on the way out quickly replaced by madmen and con artists like Greer and Gillian

Agreed. Stanton is one of the best in the field bar none.
