Are we going to recover? are we all doomed?
Seems to me its divide and conquer.
They know not to collapse the entire economy...that's bad. So they simply collapse half.

So now you have the guys doing good financially, telling the guys doing bad financially, they should have been more cautious with their decisions.
Tax the rich? I know if I were in charge that's what i would do...75% straight off the top.

Where else on the planet are they going to go? chindia?
It aint exactly pretty over there either.
The working class is done, broke, burned out, pissed off, and in some cases homeless.

These guys running the show across the globe had better think of something pretty quick...I don't even think another world war would do it, thanks to the interweeb'z the sheep have caught onto that, they know banksters fund both sides.

Things need to be reset, wealth redistributed, equal existence for every man, woman, and child, regardless of race or geological location on this rock.

This after all is OUR rock.

Good luck pulling that off without a bloodbath on the order of at least a billion.

That aside, as for a prediction on the future, no one is qualified to make one with certainty, but if you look at U.S. debt and unfunded liabilities (Social Security, etc.), we are already past the point of no return. There will come a time when there are only two courses of action mathematically possibie:

1.) Repudiate debts or unfunded liabilities, which if Greece is any indication will probably result in a chaotic orgy of violence.
2.) Hyperinflate, which will probably have the same effect, with the additional bonus of utterly destroying the currency and any international respect for it, sending us the way of Weimar Germany.

Either way will involve lots of really desperate people looking for a savior. And so of course one will be produced.

We all know what happens next.

My recommendation? Stock up on liquor. Cheers!

Yes, I believe we will recover.

I always try to encourage my friends and family to save up 1yr worth of funds. I know it might be extremely hard for some people to do, but I think a lot of people don't prepare for anything bad to happen.

So, you think I should bust my butt and then turn around and hand you my money? I don't think so buddy!

What do you consider rich?

Don't really know the answer to that question. All I know is that come September 21, I will buy Civilization 5 at release day and play it all day.

This is the direction we are heading right now. The reason Hyperinflation has not hit yet is because we have deflation in real estate and some non essentials however they are inflating the money supply by printing money, but real estate loans is where the majority of money is created out of thin air and typed into a computer screen. So we have deflation offsetting and out pacing the printing of money. Eventually the real estate market will hit bottom and then comes the hyperinflation of which the seeds have already been sown.

I like to think optimistically, but this looks very bad. Personally I think it will be somewhat like anarchy when it all crashes down. Hopefully you have guns and ammo. I know i'm working on procurring such.

The real estate markets that I buy and sell in are still doing fine. Believe it or not there still are markets emerging and appreciating. So for a motivated investor the opportunity is there to put some loot in your pocket.

The real estate sky isn't exactly falling like the media would have you believe. People still think buying stocks is investing...never understood that one.

thats tricky....but mostly it would be the indiviuals the made kaboodles of money by outsorcing (& thereby shooting our own economy in the foot)
by using derivatives to leverage capital with none of their own money at risk (aka Fraud!) but expecting taxpayer monies to cover their losses yet keeping their winnin bets for themselves... these types a predatory / vulture capitalists
and shoud be branded & stigmatized as such---confiscate their illegal/immoral gains...seize their co-mingeled assets/property/retirements
...about the only ones having enormous holdings (anything in excess of a working mans lifetime total earnings) would be subject to a tribunal
to determine the degree of their forefitures (that were actually 'stolen' from countless other peoples.)

So as long as I made money another way, I don't have to give 75% of it away. Awesome!

I haven't the slightest clue on where it is headed to now. Perhaps some do, but I don't. It's wandering into new territory of a timeline that humans had not experienced before.

In the past, wars had been the solution. A great bloodbath and a general cleansing occurs. The masses rally to the rulers for peace and security, do as they are told and perform diligently, debts repudiated by the sacrifices of our young. A cruel world that we had lived.

But today, the true superpower no longer lies in the hands of the mighty, but from the internet. Through our interconnectivity, we had debated and discussed more, gain knowledge and realized the futility and cruelities of war.

Someone will die, and it might be anyone of us or worse, our loved ones. We will be willing to offer ourselves as sacrifice, but NEVER our loved ones. Thus, we will not fight, more so over in terms of manipulated retaliation, but instead seek for justice and compensation first.

Without the usual means to stop this financial doldrum, TPTB leadership are at a loss at what's next. They cannot justifiably print more money, more so when the rich partners in the FED are hoarding their monies and not lending or investing in manufacturing, even though there still is big market for necessary goods.

As mankind is still booming, there are needs to be meet. Real estate speculation by the greedy is one industry that will boom in these times, as speculators see no wars being fought as no one wants to fight, and with properties cheap now, driving up the bubble unaware that it is a musical chair syndrome, for the last one holding the title will find no one buying it or capable of servicing that loan, as unemployment will grow.

The present manufacturers will face deflation - selling goods below expected profits and even below costs to get out of the market, which will fuel even more unemployment as companies closed down.

Right now, in these dire straits and a new uncharted timeline, we can only share what we have with our neighbours kids so that they do not starve, watch the rich elites, the way the french watched the sun king louis and listen to statements such as 'let them eat cakes'......

You do not want to know what is coming. Why do you think massive

underground cities are being built with a breakneck pace for the

government. Americans where is your underground cities? No

underground cities for Americans? You mean we will have to fend for

ourselves.

When a top ranking military General from the U.S. is concerned about our deficit that

can affect National Security we are in deep you know what. If a country

goes broke who will pay the soldiers to protect and defend that

precious country?

The dollar is in deep trouble and the world is looking to other

countries such as China when the dollar goes bust. We have enough

oil and coal to help bring down the debt but the Socialist powers that

be will not let it happen. Can you say massive breadlines the likes this

country has never seen including the Great Depression. ^Y^

What do I think will happen?

Here, very soon... I see the United States of America imploding. Hyperinflation of commodities, hyperdeflation of esoteric goods we can do without. Civil unrest, martial law and ultimately something ala Jericho finally breaks the walls down... and then the real rebuilding can begin. Our fearless "leaders" emerge from their subterranean Waldorf Astoria to find what's left of our citizenry ready with a lynch mob. Certain segments of the population will ride it out in relative comfort, the rest of us will be waiting with baited breath for the moment when we can make the American flag symbolize something good and decent again... some blood will be spilt, our understanding of economics will fundamentally shift, our conceptions of us vs. them will vanish and we shall be reborn free of the Federal Reserve and its whore bank counterparts...

Either that or what I just said will be the next big blockbuster from Roland Emerich...
