Russia making contingents for Nuke attack

Russia and China were expected to sign co-operation deals with nuclear partnerships.
However China decided to opt for Pakistan.

Its no secret that Pakistan and India are not what you could call buddies with eachother.

India has a longstanding relationship with Russia when it comes to mititary partnerships.


Maybe this was a consideration for China ?

Its hard to get your head around all this.
I grew up with the cold war-it became a part of life.
Then in the early 90's things took a twist.
Those people in their teens have grown up with the terrorist threat.
For todays elder generation there has always been some threat to replace the other as it seemingly appears less so.
Its the same for those people living in Northern Ireland circa from 1969 the troubles and risks were all they knew and grew up with.
But there was some predictability about those times-people knew what to expect and where it was coming from albeit not the specific targets.

Todays worries are different,we know the threats and the capabilities and just have to wait with fingers crossed and hope.
I just look at the increases in tensions over the last 5 years,and wonder how we can be still here in another 5.

As more and more war games are carried out it maybe that a rogue missile or test going wrong could spark things off.

We have seen from suicide bombings that those who do this have no fear of death nor consequence,so need to get away from the thinking that no one would dare do this or that given the chance.


Russia s keen to keep first strike policy - they appear to believe that a powerful first strike would give an upper hand.

I reported back in 2006 here of Evil mountain-which was still in progress after the soviet collapse.In fact its said that money provided by the US to de-commission Soviet bombs was actually used to continue the project.

Since then a fast underground train link has been built from Moscow to Yam mountain-does that sound like Red Square is expecting peace ?


The points made earlier about bio terrorism and poisoning of water supplies is also worthy consideration.
Although Britain was prolific in manufacture of chemical weapons in the 50s and did testing in remote places-it was abandoned,and years later the Gov are still paying compensation.


And what of the Soviet defectors who claim that ex soviet nuke scientists were cherry picked after the collapse ?
The unsecure sites dotted around Russia where unpaid military people would sell anything for a couple of thousand roubles ?

Theres confusion about the whereabouts of the missing nuke suitcases.
Maybe most are out of operational use now-but the scientists who put the originals together are still around-or have left their legacy to those who still are.

Of course the likes of you and I are never going to know.
Which I think is maybe a good thing-if we truly did know,we probably wouldnt sleep at night !

Not a site I am familiar with but came up on a search and contains all the info.
Amazingly it seems that Moscow have managed to stifle further info leaks about this place-but thats probably been assisted by the fact that these days there arent may defectors-just spy exchanges.Those who wanted to get out post Putin rule appear to have done so already.
