since i usually am on my laptop, and i rarely turn the speakers on it on, I didn't hear the "porno music" (was it "brown chicken brown cow"?)

Well this are soundpools from magix music maker i didn't hear any porn sounds

The equipment i used for the video's are pocket camera's

Most of them are made with the Casio Exilim z-25

and the vid Moon 28-8-10 is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V

And this are the telescopes i used

Russentonne or MTO11CA


And the Celestron Nexstar 8"

Thank you so much for sharing these. Fantastic images. The moon vids are as good as any I have seen. Jupiter is my fav planetary body so it was a thrill to see that and all the moons you managed to catch. It almost makes the distances involved seem less mindboggling.

I was sat here thinking I wonder if an 8 inch SE could get anything like as good pics as those. I'm in the market for one myself but I'm a total noob with the whole thing. Tried joining a local astro club but they're all snobby armchair jerks. Can I ask how you are finding the one fork situation with the 8? That has been a concern of mine as to it's strength and longevity. I really don't want to limit my tube switching options with a dual fork but i worry about wear and tear with just the one. Also what's your views regarding specialised video cams like the neximage over consumer units?

Once again thanks for sharing, you've given me a kick up the backside to go searching for the best scope deal again.

Im always blown away at how Fake the moon looks when viewed through a telescope. I don't mean that I think it's fake, more like its just so unreal to see that kind of detail. Like something from a movie. Amazing.

I wish that they had end user telescopes that were equipped with software to negate the atmospheric warbling. I would love to see a clear view of the planets with out having to rely on NASA or University's.

Yes this views looks unreal if you have never seen it through a telescope!

I have also a kind of binocular for a telescope so you can watch trough 2 eyepieces and when u see that, its really amazing (everything looks like 3d)

About the Telescope, yes i like the Celestron the single-arm is good enough for me, but when you want a big Camera on it,I will say go for a CPC (fork) its more steady!

My choice fell on the Nexstar because i don't have much room to store it!

About the neximage waste of money, you can better buy a good webcam that will give good or even better results than the neximage and its a lot cheaper

In the northern hemisphere jupiter rises around 930 PM and goes all the way across the southern sky till dawn. besides the moon it the brightest object in the sky. In the city it will still be visible. Right now you can see the moons and the big brown stripe with just binoculars, and if your eyes are REALLY good you can see the moons with the naked eye. (yes you can)

and it is getting closer.
