Oh yea I thought about that. But unlike the Army and Marines you hardly see the Air Force on the front lines fighting. Thats the reason why I stayed away from them two branches. An not making it to the end of my services ummm today could be my last day for all I know thats just life.

I hear ya man. I'm still thinking of enlisting myself. I already went to college and still have loans to pay off. It's not easy finding good permanent jobs right now especially where I live. I've got some friends in the Air Force and they just love it. If you get placed into a life-threatening areas like somewhere in the middle east, just keep your head straight and don't forget where you came from, always remember where you came from and most importantly remember your training because if you go into that situation, chances are, you will see hell. That's one of the things(paraphrased) a friend of mine said about the middle east a while ago. He's been back for a few years now, has a great life, and in my opinion, has made him a better man.

You'll find out there are many jobs for you do choose from not just flying planes as some people think it's all about, there's so much more too it.

Oh, and one more thing, please read the Constitution of which you swore and oath(or about to sear and oath) to protect. If you've already read it, then re-read it. There are too many who have no idea what taking that oath is all about. That is another key thing that EVERYONE I know has said to me who has been in any military service. Actually there is a really good thread by airspoon you should read about the Constitution: www.abovetopsecret.com...

True.

I hope you have a great time ahead of you. I must say... Although I fail to see the positive ways for the military to do, from time to time. I admire your choice for adventure and education.

All the best.

Jeremy,

Welcome to ATS and thank you for your service to the country! I'm pretty new myself, but I had been reading a lot of the posts here for a while before I finally registered. See you around the forum!

This isn't a true capitalist society however, so therefore you can't call us gangsters for capitalism. Look up Laissez Faire and learn something.

Otherwise welcome to the legion of the undead OP. Enjoy being an Airman, my sister is in the Airforce. I myself am in the Army simply because I wanted to make something of myself later on in politics or otherwise, so I deemed the Army as the choice for me based on more opportunity than the other services.
Once again, welcome to the legion of the undead.
