National Association of Free Clinics director Nicole Lamoureux stated that prior
to a clinic opening up in New Orleans by Aug.31.
Already there has been over 600 patients registered.

I believe that these numbers will only grow steadily considering the amount of dispersants that were sprayed in the Gulf , not to mention the V.O.C.'s that were and still are being released into the atmosphere.

This whole scenario spells a depopulation agenda in the making , guised as an
accident.
To watch our government sit back and let B.P. call the shots , while our ecosystem is being distroyed by a foriegn company or should I say banking interests should raise a flag.

did i miss the part where they said these were related to the oil spill?

New Orleans is a big, poor city with a lot of people who probably need medical care.

Just sayin

I would like to have heard more on this - I also hope they follow up after treating people. I would like to know what they are being treated for. Perhaps we can keep this thread going for a while.

Still wondering if there is ANY information linking this to oil-spill-related illness?

We will probably have to wait until the clinic opens and gives a report on what illnesses they are treating.

so, in other words, it may have nothing to do with this subforum at all.

You bet and all the eyes are going to be upon them. It is most likely that the huge rise in people needing to be seen can be attributed to the Gulf Oil spill Disaster and subsequent use of corexit, call it an educated hunch on my part and so far my hunches have been right on.

Most of them will be showing signs by now that have been exposed to the unseen gasses and toxic atmosphere. Those that have been swimming, well they get it even worse. You cant blame them as BPovernment said it was safe... and with the BPresident swimming himself last week, well...

Very curious if hepatic or hematological issues are arising yet? These would likely be the first wave of systemic illness which the toxic vapors would cause.
We have already seen pics of contact dermatitis with reports of same.
The next "wave" is highly likely to be the effects of benzene and methyl chloride. Both hepatic and hematological toxins of the first order.
Following these diseases will be the cancers. leukemia and it's related cancers likely up front with other cancers statistically going through the roof right behind.
So sad there is even doubt of the health effects of breathing the mentioned chems which are a known component of crude. Being in the dye coupling industry gives me a unique perspective as most of the substances we made were quite toxic but even they were not on a par with the precautions needed for benzene or the closely related to methyl chloride, ethylene dichloride.
I speak from having a tumor removed from my sinus directly associated with my exposure to in particular ethylene dichloride and having many long sessions with a toxicologist during the prosecution of same company for flushing the mentioned compounds into the sewer.
The fact the odor of "kerosene" has been widely reported and said odor without doubt contained benzene in unacceptable amounts, >4ppb is acceptable but not recommended, that there will be some illness connected is foregone. What remains to be seen, and will take yrs and be statisically manipulated to cover some ass is the increase in oil contact related illnesses.
If the Valdez taught nothing it taught that lifespans are much shortened by exposure to oil. This was where the water was cold and the volatiles less active than in the warm gulf.
This mess is vastly compounded by heat and dispersant and I fully expect the results to overshadow the valdez deaths many fold.

Ah missed this thread OP, excuse the mix up.

We will keep a close eye on this as the clinic opens and we can get first hand reports of the types of illness's which have seriously increased in the Gulf staes for the locals affected by this tragedy.

Thanks for posting

That is an interesting theory, but I am still curious if you have even a small bit of evidence to support said theory. Who are the people lining up for care and what are their symptoms? All you shown us so far is that a relatively small handful of the population on NO need to see a doctor.

Dr. Ott calls out the EPA in the continued use of COREXIT. They are still spraying, and eye witness accounts of COREXIT 9527 still in use:

During the August 25 Dockside Chat in Jean Lafitte, LA, it came to our attention that the federal agencies were unaware -- or lacking proof -- of the continued spraying of dispersants from Louisiana to Florida. Further, the federal agencies were woefully ignorant of the presence of subsurface oil-dispersant plumes and sunken oil on ocean and estuary water bottoms. We offer evidence to support our statements, including a recently declassified subsurface assessment plan from the Incident Command Post.
