Smart, Educated People Keeping America Safe: 'We Don't Exist.'

One of the best things to ever come out of Madison, Wisconsin is the satire "newspaper" The Onion. After my time in college there I've been an avid reader of it. With their website, I still read it here back in London.

Today they posted this article about how the people that the majority of citizens believe are keeping America safe do not actually exist:

This is a remarkably realistic article for them, and sadly it is 100% true from everything I have reported on and researched regarding the so-called "War On Terror."

The article points out that the majority of people whom could fill these roles are languishing forgotten at public universities and working in venture capitalism. I also have found this to be the case and it begs the question: why?

Nice find OP! Love the onion, have their site saved on my mobile for when i get stuck waiting in boring lines and such. To answer your question - the reason why is that our govt doesn't actually need to pay these people to do this job. They just need us to believe they are there so that they can continue to impede upon our rights in the name of "homeland security". So all they have to do is make sure we keep believing whatever the MSM tells us and they can continue to spend the money that would have paid these salaries on "special interests".
