Fox News shareholder funded 'Ground Zero mosque' imam: report

rawstory.com

The second largest shareholder in News Corp. -- the parent company of Fox News -- has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to causes linked to the imam planning to build a Muslim community center and mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan, says a report from Yahoo!News.

Faux News never fails to sicken me... I'm starting to think ole' Mr. Murdoch, and his cronies are trying to act out the James Bond film "Tomorrow never dies". If they are given " A license to kill" with their false propaganda through the east we're all going to "Die another day"... But seriously we really need to bring an end to these loonies before they start sucking "The living daylights" out of eastern media, like they have with the west... That one doesn't really work too well.

So what are we saying here? That Al-Waleed is a Zionist?

I need to think about this one for a while.

What a "GoldenEye" you have for this type of information. I guess "The World is Not Enough" for these people at Faux-U-News, however, I bet they get a lot of "Octopussy."

Lol I tried.

Personally I think this is going to be one of those things where this certain individual invested in a trust fund that decides what they invest in without consulting the shareholders.
You think the vast majority of people who buy into these things are aware of what the company they're going through invests in?
I frankly don't care other than this is likely a ruse to bash rival news networks like they always do.
It's the same thing with investment companies who go for blood diamonds imported from Africa, half of those schmucks don't even know what they're paying for.
I mean honestly, is anyone surprised that news group X has found out Y about news group Z?

You guys fell for it, hook line and sinker.

Deny ignorance.

So foxnews is being attacked due to a parent company's investor donating/investing money the way they see fit in america?

How dare them!

For you haters, yes I can see the Fox bias, just as I see it on every other LSM news channel.

BTW: The guy owns 7% of newscorp. Now thats a lot of money, but not a big percentage. He has also donated to Council on American-Islamic Relations and Islamic Development Bank.

I don't care how he spends his money until it becomes criminal.

Regardless of how the investment occurred, a shareholder and company do not necessarily espouse the same political ideologies or belief systems. It's a relationship based on coin and not conscience. While someone can invest in a company because they believe in said company, some invest (and even in large amounts) because they believe in what the company is doing and that it can make them money.

Bashing Fox News for the actions of a shareholder is like bashing the President (any of them) for the actions of a single member of Congress. Unless the two are intrinsically tied in a single action, it doesn't make sense.

I find it strange that they're inciting hatred, and trying to see how many Americans will usurp the constitution...

I'm laughing

It was like watching a scene from a Battle of Britain movie !

watching the Paid Posters scrambing (that's the aeoronautic term for it I think ) ..... scrambling to get into the action and get in their 'shape and form opinion posts before the genuine posters comments could take effect

Pilots (Paid to Posts & Zionist/Murdoch apologists) came screaming in

but TOO LATE !

and then sat there, looking exactly what they are

S & F to the OP

Of course the Zionists are behind the mosque, are the instigators --- and are staging 'incidents' such as yesterday's
'man surrounded by angry anti-mosque crowd' staged-news reports

You're so old Murdoch. Why not move on instead of croaking around like something dug up from the crypt ?

Let me put it this way.

I am a shareholder in Walmart--albeit not a big or important one by any stretch of the imagination. I'm in Walmart because over the years it's been a fairly sound investment and about as "safe" as a stock gets and it pays a decent dividend if the stock isn't growing (around two and a half percent). Walmart and I have a strictly shareholder-company financial relationship though as I can count the number of times I've been in one in the past five years or so on one hand.

As far as Walmart goes, outside of our little financial deal we've got going, I could care less for them and would be fine if they disappeared tomorrow and were replaced by something else.

Likewise, while I'm not a huge fan of environmental issues and the like, if there was what looked to be a sound investment in the "green" market, I'd be there in a moment. Like it or not, Fox News is a huge business and if it attracts shareholders that don't necessarily agree on standpoints and philosophies, well, that's capitalism at its finest.

Out of simple curiosity, I absolutely must ask who you think the paid posters in the thread are. So, who are they? I mean, how can I pick them out so easily too?

Because if I were to pay some people to post, I'd definitely get at least one or two in there dissenting with weak arguments (for example, arguments about people being paid to post).

AND the apologists are still hard at work ----lol

Sure

Of course the 'zionists' are just harmless business-people --- sure, we understand

Of course we wouldn't expect them to have any sensitivity -- course not --- sensitivity has no place in business

Of course we wouldn't expect the 'zionsits' to have any loyalty to the US -- to the nation they suck and bleed dry --- 'zionists' loyalty belongs to money and to ZIONISM and to israel and to wars and to lies and deceit

And we remember -- oh yes we do -- those dancing israelis as the Towers blazed and as people leapt to their deaths

So of course we fully expected to learn that the 'zionists' were the instigators behind the mosque proposal

And we'll probably discover that 'zionists' are the architects

We'll most probably discover that 'zionists' already have the contracts in their greasy hands

It will very likely be reveals that 'zionists' do the insurance cover

on and on

It's what we've come to expect of 'zionists'

I'm still curious if I'm a Zionist apologist or being paid to make my posts. Because by all rights, you've got a whole lot of "probably's" and not much else there. The only thing I'm seeing that you have right is that an investor's loyalty is to his or her money.

Fox is no different than the rest of mainstream media, they just lean a little more to the Right. Remember when O'Reilley and the rest were beating up on Zuckerman the CEO of NBC, and Jeff Immelman the head of GE which owns NBC? Well that all stopped some months ago because GE started buying Ad Time on Fox, funny how that works huh.

No, this is important because on Fox and Friends the cast was talking about an unnamed donator to the mosque. They then said that he ties to terrorism basically. However, they intentionally failed to mention that the man whom they were talking about is non other than Imam Whathisname-- the guy that owns a major share of the people that own Fox News. That, is why it is important. Watch the Daily Show

I'm sorry, but if this is a problem for you and not the FACT that some people made millions off of 9/11, then I'm speachless.

I'm talking put options, Silverstein, Guilianni, etc.

I don't watch fox and friends, they are the worst morning news crew on tv. I didn't know they said that, but thanks for pointing out a bias on their part.

Relying on the Daily Show for your news is as bad or worse than using HuffPo or Hannity as your major news source. It's all an act with a light sprinkle of truth.

I think John Stewart does a pretty good job of putting it all in perspective. You can watch the video HERE.

See Fox news is getting bashed because they bash the ground zero Islamic center as being funded by terrorists..

When their own company is funded by the same person.
