Hey good people i was listening to a .U.F.O show the other night called Paracast and i found it very entertaining. The guys from Paracast didnt not want to accept it was a 100 percent that U.F.O are from Aliens, they belived that it was not a certin yet at all. This seemed to make Steven Basset very angry because he belived there was no question that they were from outer space and they were working with are goverment. It turned out into a good healty skeptical debate about nearly every aspect of ufology,i enjoyed it and have to say
steven basset kicks ass

Stephen Bassett, Executive Director of the Paradigm Research Group, sponsor of X-Conference 2009, talks about UFO disclosure and what we know and don’t know about the presence of UFOs on our planet. As you may expect, this wasn’t a friendly encounter.
steven basset on paracast show, march 1 2009

This is isn't really very new, and myself and others have pointed this interview out several times. It illustrates what a complete IDIOT Basset is. I love how he admits that credibility doesn't matter in the subject (and it doesn't, just read through this very forum and watch how folks actually give idiots like him the time of day.

People like Basset (and those who ignorantly give him the benefit of a doubt) are what is wrong with this subject, and why is has become the laughable subject that it is. Between the new age space brother crowd and the "hard" science types (like hoagyland) this subject has NO HOPE.

I like the paracast, although since they now have radio time they have watered it down a lot more, and have the new habit of overlooking something outrageous that a guest says or claims.....the things that make the average listener scream at his radio.

I do like the Paracast forums and interviews. As ITF points out, it's changed a bit lately and reflects an expanding market against a niche market.

Basset is legendary for making a fool of himself. It's all that cognitive dissonance melting his brain. He sells the idea that good/bad aliens are dealing with good/bad governments and there's possibly a space war going on involving Earth. He insists on this BS with certainty. Any fool knows we don't have any idea and neither does he.

At a UFO conference, he got drunk and got into a row with a researcher (I'm thinking Ritzman, Bishop or Kimball?). Having lost the argument due to zero facts, he bent over and slapped his own ass as the final word. Who can argue with that?!

Thanks for the reply,i agree he shouldnt of said credibility doesnt matter.
I think your bang on the mark there!! Like when he said that Billy Miers was ok and all.I think he should of know where Gene and Greg were going and admitted that much.He really did lt his temper get to him.
I really like the Paracast too
,they dont really let utter rubbish on their
show. Some people on Coast to Coast do be a joke.
I didnt know they were on radio, thanks for the tip

I b sure to listen for difference in old shows and new, thanks IgnoreTheFacts

Thanks for the reply Kandinsky
I agree with you too,no one that is in the public sector has even a sniff of the full picture, actually no one probably has but Steven holds these facts like his religion.I think maybe its time for evidence off someone before anything is taken for fact and anymore books are bought of any of them,i do like to wonder though what is going on.

My thoughts,

I have been in the presense of this man twice. I went one time a few years back to a Mufon meeting..... he was the speaker. After the meeting anyone that wanted to go out to a near by eatery could join in for continued conversation.

As I observed him I observed that he liked to hold command and control and is basically only interested in himself and being the one speaking. I observed when someone tried to speak he listened but it was like you could sense if it couldn't benefit him in some way he just kind of stepped in and ended the conversation and took speaking control over again.

The second time was at the Atlantic City Conference which had many speakers and most of them were (how do I say this) into themselves. They seemed to want speaking control and when someone spoke they all seemed to listen to see if they could discover something new and interesting and when they couldn't they excused themselves and went over to another speaker.

When Steve spoke at that Conference in Feb. of 2008 he said that Disclosure was going to be in the Spring of 2009 well,......................
WRONG

I will however, say this:

Steve is a very likable man and when he holds the control of speaking he is supurb IMO

I would say he has that A type personality more so in a good way then not so good way.

I think that is the kettle calling the pot black. You say Basset is certain that a space war is going on with aliens, but then go on to say with the same dogmatism that "any fool knows we don't have any idea". Who is "we"? All you can say with certainty is that YOU don't know. You cannot speak for the human race and all governments. For all you know, there are people deep within the folds of some governments who DO know that aliens exist, what their purpose is, etc. Stop begging the question on our behalf.

How about qualifying your future comments with: "I speak only out of my own ignorance"?

Thanks for the exellent input my friend
you are the first person that i know that has ever talked to the man.I see what you mean totally like he has the opinion he is the president of the x conference and i have had so much money invested in this process and because of that he think his effort has being the best to disclose the truth.
It could be that where he gets his information,he belives that this intelligence is made of gold and no could have what he posesses.
I also think he means well and just is single minded in his pursuit.
Many a good man becomes unsensitive to other when they feel there close
to something this big or a achievement so grand.
Thanks for the star
and the great insight

Yeah, Basset's in the middle of a bunch of incredibly gullible people and parasites. Link up the people and you get a very poor picture of humanity. Moulton-Howe, Bob Dean, Alfred Webre, Salla, Klaus Dona, Paul Stonehill, Paradigm Research, Exopolitics, Greer, Projects Avalon and Camelot.

These guys back the wrong horse so many times and so consistently that it must be deliberate. If they show a UFO image, it's always a known fake. They herald a UFO witness and he's always a hoax. They promise times and dates for 'disclosure' that never comes.

Notice a pattern?

It's impossible to be wrong every time and even broken clocks are right twice a day. There's something not right about these guys and it's strange.

Yeah i know Bob Dean claims to have talked to e.ts
alfed weber is that the dude that said 911 was done by Aliens with lasers!
lol,come on now!!!
Greer looks like a reptillion[well what a reptillion in human form might look like hahah]
I agree there is to many predictions coming out of them, everyweek they had some crap, sigh,Is this what EXOPOLICTICS IS?????
nothing but utter crap!!

Klaus dona ,i only watched a little bit,but some of his stuff was ok looking, but what do i know whats real or not!

Haha I've heard that one too. I believe it was with Jeremy Vaeni though.

For me, the exopolitics and disclosure crowd are like the circus of ufology — I go there from time to time for entertainment, but I don't take seriously anything clowns have to say.

Thx for bringing this one show to the spotlight.
I Have just listened to it.
And must say: Steven B. is practicaly ignoring everything. the only thing that matters to him is himself. Making himself heard on the radio-podcast...

i had a higher opinion of him... I thought he was after the truth now i see he is after the spotlight...

Like once beeing burnt by the Greer and Myer... and now by Basset....

what can i say. Descartes said it better:

--

If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things.

Paracast have done a lot of great interviews. My favourite for the spotlight is the one with Dr Richard Haines...

April 5, 2009 — Dr. Richard F. Haines

Dr. Richard F. Haines, Chief Scientist for the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP), speaks at length about airline sightings, airline safety, and his extensive research into these strange aerial mysteries.
www.theparacast.com...

Haines is a member of NARCAP and they're one of the guiding lights when it comes to this subject. This interview is simply excellent. NARCAP are one of the few genuinely credible organisations trying to draw attention to unidentified aerial phenomena.
