Why is everyone saying that government is the problem? Government is the answer, at least for this difficult time in our state and nation. Private charities are broke. People are losing their homes; they can’t feed their children. We are on the cusp of revolution. Only a good government like ours, made up of people just like you and me, is big enough to rescue us. You will hear this from no other candidate, but I am telling you that we need money, jobs, and security from our good American government. Only our government is big enough and good enough to rescue us out of the deep hole that is not entirely of our own digging. Larry Limbaugh says, “We need big government now!”

Larry Limbaugh

Yet another politician saying that we NEED more big government to save us from ourselves.

I like how he says that "we are on the cusp of revolution" and only government can save us from it.

Does he not see that people want to have a revolution because big government IS the problem?

"Money, jobs and security can only be provided by government"

Have we fallen so much as a nation that people actually believe this crap?

Yes. All that and more.

I'm wholly convinced many people honestly believe it's the government that makes the sun come up in the morning and rains come down.

Next time there's a drought just sing and dance for government to make it rain.

What morons who believe we need more government fail to realize is that government must TAKE from one party to *help* the other. You can rob Peter to pay Paul right up until Peter is out of money.

There's a revolution calling...

Mr. Limbaugh is right generally. Unfortunately it is a big IF.

If the government is indeed the source of the problem, then maybe people will be happy with no government at all. Maybe people will be happy with anarchy. Maybe that's what should happen.. the law of the jungle.

Okay, who wants to see the collapse of the government!

Yet the American people really believe that politicians are magical beings who will make all of their problems disappear.

I wonder when our American brothers and sisters will finally wake up!

Alex Jones would call this guy "Globalist Scum". I would agree. This paragrapgh is disturbing, he's just trying to keep the sheep in check for the mind controllers at the top. YOu know sheep, fast food eating, working class shoppers who never want to stop snorting the dust of their labors of the mirrors of the masters. And the MSM is always right, independent thought is illegal, and there is a chip in your brain to make sure you are a perfect slave.

I do not wish to see Anarchy as people cannot behave themselves as a whole. What I hate is government interfering in all of my affairs and try to dictate how I should live, what I should eat etc

I would even have to get a license if I wanted to get married - In short, I want to see a government run by the people, answerable to the people and in a constitutional fashion not this travesty we have today.

Now that I think about it, I rather have Anarchy instead of a police state!

The people are morons. I dont want to see a government run by them. Half the reason we've lost the liberty we have and ruined our economy the way we have is because morons vote and politicians pander to morons for votes.

Even making the government directly and immediately accountable wouldnt make much of a difference. Again, because people are morons. Take the healthcare for example. Half of the morons would want to hold them accountable for not socializing everything while the other half want to hold them accountable for mandating we purchase a product from a corporation.

Anarchy is far preferable to a police state.

But I live in the middle of nowhere and have a healthy garden, livesotck, clean water and plenty of ammunition. I can see the fear of anarchy in city folk. They're surrounded by psychos. But what they dont realize is that any current law or 'officer of the law' is absolutely powerless to protect them. The best they could ever hope for is after-the-fact punishment. It's essentially anarchy with punishment since nothing can prevent anyone from doing anything they want to do. Each year going to prison becomes more and more a "badge of honor" for these psychos so more and more the punishment system is encouraging criminal activity.

This government, any government, is not any safer or more stable than anarchy. It just keeps up a nice illusion for the frightened among us.

So you actually don't trust the mass either. Makes sense.

That's Mr Limbaugh said, and that's a big if, just like I stated.

Indeed, that is the only better option left available, since the ideal big IF cannot happen.

Government does not give out jobs (well, besides governmental jobs of course, but thats not their function)...the government however could put heavy taxes on industries that export our high tech jobs and such,

You dont need more government to make a few tweaks to our commerce and taxes laws...you just need someone to stand up to corporate interests.

Unfortunately corporate interests are paramount in western society now...

when corporations run government, you have facism.
when government runs corporations, you have socialism.

choose your poison

"Anarchy" as in random thugs who make up rules as they go along? You mean what we have now? Like police who can jail you for "failure to obey" something they've made up on the fly. Hmmm... I don't this anarchy you are talking about either. Sounds like we need something like government by the people. Who knows, it may be a system that works.

Why are you so enthusiastic about implementing hidden taxes on poor people? After all, that is all corporate taxes amounts to. Does Wal-Mart pay the same corporate tax rate as Gulfstream Jet Corporation? Yes. And where does Wal-Mart get their revenues from?

Corporations do not grow money on trees, contrary to popular belief in liberal circles. I don't know if there is anything I hate more in life than hidden taxes on poor people.

A smaller government has never done anyone any harm, yet here people are on this thread saying that we can't have smaller government without having complete chaos.

That's what I said in another thread.

Yup, like that, it's inevitable in anarchy. Social code is determined by the law of the jungle.

You mean like this.
Britain's David Cameron seeks smaller government, more citizen involvement
Good luck, seriously, it looks good on paper, but it's a hell lot easier said than done.

So as I read it, it comes down to this IF WE DON'T WANT BIG GOVERNMENT ANARCHY WILL FOLLOW. Dogs and Cats willbe sleeping together, and the sky will fall.

I just don't buy that. Try to sell that lie to the sheeple.

Anyone who still has two neurons still firing understand Governments creates nothing. Governments only take, and usually more than they need.

Nope, it simply means you have to work really hard to make that ideal government (regardless of its size, it could be big, it could be small), otherwise it's either status quo or police state or anarchy.

And I want a cat that can operate heavy machinery.

Just because we want something to be a certain way, does not mean we can change its very nature. Government is corrupt because people are corrupt. The problem lies in that we think we can trust a select few with the destiny of an entire nation and expect pure motives and practice.

"People are bad, therefore we need a government."
This makes no sense because what one is actually saying is, "people are bad, so we need a select few of those people to be in control of the rest of the people".

People are bad, but wait until you give those people nukes, standing armies, and the means to use them with impunity. Then you will see the true face of evil.

The founders advocated limited government, by the people for
the people.

We now have a giant bloated plutocracy that is more beholden
to corporate whims and allows jobs to be shipped out of the US,
and then ship in cheap scab labor by the millions thru
over 73 different Visas.

en.wikipedia.org...

What has happened is we have lobbyists writing the laws and
our representatives are not even allowed to read it before
voting on it.

The government has been subverted.

The Federal Reserve is not even part of the government, it is a
foreign run central bank parasite.

There are numerous other issues as well.

I think we are headed for another civil war and I intend to
head for the hills when it breaks out.

Not going to toss my life away so the same set of events can just
happen again like they have repeatedly thru history.

Good Luck to all the good ppl !

Heavy taxes on business just leads to them passing on the cost
to the consumer at the end of the line. Taxes are a tool of ppl
that cannot see beyond one step.

1. Abolish corporations.

2. Numbers rackets used to be illegal, close Wall street.

3. All Banks in the US will be US owned, and all foreign interests
get the boot and especially the Fed.

4. All large projects that would require something like a corporation
would instead be done by a Co-op, TOTAL 100% transparency required.

Noam Chomsky talks about this in the film The Corporation.

5. The law Canada has that says if a citizen can do the job, then
the migrant or visa worker holding it or applying for it is removed.

6. 700+ bases in 130+ countries ??? We are the new Rome,
end it and come home and let the world blow itself straight to hell.

We can grow oil via algae, we don't need mid east oil.

7. Flat fair tax for all the ppl, and like Texas and several other
states no tax on basic food.

8. We keep our government but we scale back the bloat, the
dept of education can be tossed, as can 80% of the IRS with
a Flat percentage tax. Many other worthless agencies can go
as well like the crooked DoE.

There is a lot more that can be done, and most of it is fairly
obvious.

It is time the ppl of the US stopped being policeman of the world
and lapdogs for corporate criminals.

As Marine Corp general butler said, war is a racket.

Good Luck to all the good ppl !
