i loved your reply. not saying what this thread is about is animal abuse, but your quote here is very discriptive.

Ted Nugent's a great musician, i couldn't care less what he does in his private life unless he hurts humans, which he'd never do.

i go a bit further than just the harming of humans. i've seen what humans are capable of in the case of animals.

Personally, I cannot fathom what is so wrong with baiting. Give your pray a final meal, and make a clean lethal shot from close distance. Is that not humane? Why does it have to be about the sportsmanship of the hunt? Who cares? I'd rather see well-planned single-bullet humane-kill, family fed, freezer full, and man back to doing something more productive; rather than waiting like a fool in a tree stand for days in the "spirit of the hunt" for the "right opportunity". Do you think the native/tribal people were opposed to baiting because it was "un-sportsman like"?

Humans Hunted Mammals To Extinction In North America
ScienceDaily (June 8, 2001) — (Santa Barbara, Calif.) -- Woolly mammoths, giant armadillos and three species of camels were among more than 30 mammals that were hunted to extinction by North American humans 13,000 to 12,000 years ago, according to the most realistic, sophisticated computer model to date. The news is reported in the June 8 issue of the journal Science.

This is why we have the hunting rules:
Because if people thought they could get away with things they would pig out and that would be that.
They'ld be shooting each other to get the last one.

In Orillia Ontario, there was a farmer in te 50s and 60s who used to paint the word COW on his cows so the illustrious american hunter would hopefully quit wacking them, thinking they might be deer.

we can also look at the north american bison herds. the native americans never came close to hunting them to extinction.
along come the white man with their big rifles.
in no time they were pretty much gone.

the cavalry alone killed thousands, if not millions, not to eat, but in an attempt to starve the indians.
