One would think that in this–the post 9/11 age–that a direct, face-to-face threat against the life of a decorated American war hero by someone claiming to be an agent working for a Middle Eastern country tied to previous acts of terrorism against the US would rouse some concern.

That is of course, unless the country from which this foreign agent hails is Israel and the war hero being threatened is a survivor of the USS LIBERTY, attacked by the Jewish state in 1967, leading to the deaths of 34 American servicemen.

Don’t you all know the true singular super power of the world? They deliberately corrupt the press and political process and are obnoxious in declarations of how they rule America and it's leaders or how they will underhandedly destroy them if they resist.
You should all be more than pleased to have the opportunity to bow down at the feet of those who have shown time and time again that they are the true rulers of this world. They have gotten to this position by a the demonstration of determination backed by a singular line of philosophy which has always worked to the advantage of those who will truly adhere to it.

What exactly is an Israeli accent. I travel to Israel frequently and would be hardpressed to tell the difference between an Israeli accent and say a Croatian accent.

That said, it is interresting the man says he was threatened, presumably by an Israeli. There are hundreds of articles about the criminal Israeli attack on the Liberty. I doubt Israel has singled out this particular man for harassment. Perhaps he saw this as a good vehicle to remind folks about the attack on the liberty.

Do you mean the same way as Israelis constantly reminding folks about the holocaust ? (but not the Palestinian Holocaust though. Operation Cast Lead. White phosphorous and Fleshettes shredding and burning Palestinian toddlers. Not that holocaust. Actually, it could even be that the Israelis have patented the word 'holocaust' )

34 Americans killed by friendly fire? That can't be, friendly fire never happens, just ask the French and Canadians. What a despicable way to press an agenda and pathetic attempt to deflect blame from the real culprits.

Yes, I have the wiki page, please look further into the case the Liberty, look into the witness accounts, the reports.

A simple google search will be sufficient, there was no mistake in the identity of the the Liberty, there was no misunderstanding. It was deliberate.

After reading more info, it is very clear that Israel was intent on attacking this ship, no matter what.

I find in interesting that many witnesses claim the planes were unmarked. Then how did they know it was Israel?

At the time, I do not believe the ship knew it was Israel, however Israel knew it was the US.

It came out after the attack that it was Israel. Now, the theory with is that by using an unmarked craft the Israeli's could blame it on the Egyptians, it didn't work out that way for them, but that was plan.

After the plane attack, the Israeli navy came in, I believe they fired missiles as well, and from there pretended the whole thing was an accident.

Look up "Ship without a Country" it is a book of eyewitness accounts.

The Israelis had already overflown the ship several times over the previous day ot two, so knew who they were and what they were doing there. Israel was also using aircraft types not in the inventory of it's neighbours. Removing national insignia was just to cause confusion, so radio operators on board the ship could only report unmarked aircraft, not specifically Israeli marked.
The long held official line that it was a mistake is pure bunk. Aircraft from a carrier in the Med were recalled / held back on presidential order. So, even the highest office allowed the attack to happen, sacrificing it's own military personnel for a political motive. That is the sickest part of it all.

It's very clear that the intent was to sink the ship and make sure there could be no survivors, hence the torpoedo boats strafing lifeboats.
The subsequent enquiry, as expected, was a total whitewash and another blow to the survivors of the Liberty attack.
