The article is far from accurate. Bush does not have both sides of congress, only the majority is Republican. That doesn't mean that the majority
agree with him, and it doesn't mean that he compares to Hitler.
The Supreme Court is in no way acting as his "quintet".
While I do see inherent dangers in the Patriot Acts, no clear example of actual danger has been shown - to date.
The author of the letter, Herr Moellers, claims that his father was a Nazi soldier, and then says the parallels between present day America and
Germany in the '30's is scaring him. Because his father was a soldier I'm supposed to believe this man has some remarkable insight? If his father
was a Nazi soldier, how old was Herr Moellers in the 30's?
There is more parallel between present day Germany and the old Germany, such as the rise in anti-semitism, than this attempted correlation between
America today and Germany then. It seems tha tmany have a hard time accepting the fact that America now has recognized the enemy has declared war and
that she must defend herself. I dare say that some of our former allies are so jealous of us and resent us so badly that they would actually like to
see us get beaten by the enemy. Well, other than their nations' gain at dealing under the table with our enemy. Their financial gain seems to be
more important than our survival.
To answer your request for people to read the article and tell you what they think - I've read the article, realize it is driven by political agenda,
and think nothing of it.
