You know, I've often wondered this myself. It seems as though with the current state of world affairs and events we often get caught up in the gloom and doom of things. I sat and thought about this for a minute trying like hell to recall any shred of a positive conspiracy I could pull from the memory banks, and sadly, I can't come up with one. Flag for you out of curiosity if anyone else can come up with any. =)

This question would have to be answered in perception. Some people think religion is a conspiracy, but others see it as salvation, which is a good thing.

2012 isn't all about death and destruction, there is the belief this will be an awakening as mankind passes into a new and better age,

Enlightenment through disclosure.....

The way people view these things says a lot about what they truly expect.

My answer to your question is probably no. Conspiracies usually involve covert activities conducted for the purposes of carrying out a crime or covering one up. I've never heard of a "positive" conspiracy.

"Nice conspiracy theories ? do they exist ?"

The answer is a definite yes.

The theories exist.

The actual conspiracy part is up for debate.

I can only think of one at the moment.

The postulation of the existence of God and a happy afterlife.

A group of people gathering to doing good in secret??

My take on it : There is no need to Hide the plans of doing good things, thats why there is no nice Con-Theo's ..

It is when you need/want to decieve people you need to hide the agenda and conspire with others to get the plans thru ..

Yeah, as mentioned above, the idea of awakening to a higher spiritual plane is indeed a nice thought.

I recently read an article about a modern day Robin Hood, less of a conspiracy but I guess holds a bit of mystery (can't remember source, just googled it and came up with a million modern day Robin Hood).

I'm struggling to think. Most of these things that flick our switches are full of negative feelings.... bad news is good news and all that.

"Nice" is pretty subjective. One man's meat is another man's poison, etc.

Things that are nice generally aren't hidden. People hide to do nasty things. Conspiracies generally involve hiding. Do the math. It's not 100% true that "nice" conspiracies are impossible, but its pretty unlikely.

ATS's very own "Mr. The Mask" addressed this issue below, in his clever "Adventures in Conspiracy" comic/thread:

David Willcock?

All the disclosure type of conspiracies?
Secret technologies that could save the world..

Galactic Federation of Light?
(God that stuff is SO cheezy I wouldn't want it to be true)

2012 Event Horizon (Wilcock new film)

EDIT: Thanks for reminding me actually, I need to watch the rest of those videos (they are long), and I was looking for something conspiracy related to watch.

One of the oldest conspiracies of modern times in - a conspiracy of silence and coercion happens every year in December, involves a large majority of the adult population, a whole load of money and involves telling untruths to children.

Its generally a nice conspiracy though

Some are helping dissidents communicate with the outside world. Guys in China are involved in a conspiracy to have freedom of speech and information. Muslim families are in conspiracies to protect other members from arranged weddings. Smuggling Jews out of Germany and Russians from Soviet Russia were nice conspiracies.

Maybe somewhere out there, a powerful cadre of super-rich people are gathering and planning schemes of generosity. Perhaps, Third World villages wake up to find air-drops of medicines, luxuries and schoolbooks? Medical staff in hospitals might be treating people without insurance and hiding the evidence? MacDonald's could have a sneaky plan to add vitamins and minerals to the burgers.

We'll believe any old theory, but imagining good has become so unlikely it seems ridiculous! Doom, gloom and corruption are the flavours of the day...

The conspiracy part of the theory of the existence of a happy afterlife is more evident to an atheist. It is viewed by them as a conspiracy to control the masses that believe by promising them a reward if they behave as the religious leaders request that they do.

Good people can commit horrible crimes by believing they are involved in "nice" conspiracy.

People can do horrific things if they believe it's for the greater good of society. How do you think the powerful rich get people to kill others in war? Why do you think police will never report another cop?

Sometimes secrets are necessary but not secrets that destroy the civil rights of others. This will never result in the greater good.
