Those Chinese can be such a pain in the butt!

I couldn't make up this one if I wanted to.

Chinese officials at a park in Shangdong province have come up with a unique solution to park overcrowding and people not sharing the park benches. They've installed new park benches that shoot up metal spikes after a coin operated timer runs out to encourage park-goers to get up off their butts and share the seating space.

When in China, beware of benches

Chinese park officials are going to teach their visitors good manners with the help of steel spikes inserted in benches.

Inspired by an art installation by a German artist, they fitted park benches with retractable steel spikes that hide when a coin is inserted and shoot up when the paid time is over. The officials claim that their invention cannot cause any serious harm – however, just in case, they made the benches beep out loud when the sitting time is about to expire.

I'm glad our worldly society has to resort to physical force (albeit minor, it is still something physical) because we are getting too greedy to not share our seat.

That is a little bit ridiculous,all the benches are installed to let people rest,but why do they do this ?

Well,the Chinese have a different way of thinking than western societies do.

They will not think for a moment against killing a million or so of their own citizens.

Human life means NOTHING to them at all.

You get convicted of a death penalty crime in China.

They take you out then and there and put a bullet in to your brain.

They certainly must think differently to western society, in the UK those coin containers would be kicked off by teenagers and the money inside spent on Vodka within hours of them being installed
