Reincarnation is not real and you must decide for Christ before you die. Hell is temporary because it along with death will be thrown into the lake of fire, along with those who have rejected Christ. The Bible doesn't teach a second chance after hell and before the lake of fire.

The bible doesn't teach reincarnation but just about every other religion at least alludes to it. Christian gnosticism also teaches about reincarnation. Personally I believe the bible we have today, has been changed from what it originally was, or parts are missing from it.

iceofspades, Yes God does want you to be with him and its not him that allows you to be tortured. You allow yourself to be tortured and satan is the one that does it. If your child told you he didn't want your help with something, wouldn't you back off. And if your child struggled while trying to do it on his own, would you just swoop in and make things right without your child asking for your help. Torture is momentary, your soul is forever, and only God can destroy your soul. So if you get a few bumps and bruises while going your own way, why would you expect God to jump in.
You get so many chances to ask god to show you the truth and to help you. His patience is extrodinarly long. Its our patience that is short. That sounds like a loving, caring God to me, the same way a good parent would raise a child to maturity.

Dlbrandt-

rev 20:06

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it , from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire . This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

You are not judged until after the thousand years of christ't rule. The dead will be judged at that time, even those that had been in hell. Yah Shua died to cover our sin. All sin. If hell were the final judgment then why have a second death?

When people die, often they encounter what they think they will encounter. The freshly unbound spirit, though all-powerful once again, may still continue to provide itself with the trappings of it's recent physical experiences for some time. Eventually, you will figure out that you need not punish yourself any longer now that you have your full spiritial facilities and can look at and absorb the lessons of your recent life and then share them with the rest of God.

In simple terms, if you think you are going to hell, your spirit may make a hell for itself after your death, until you start to remember what you really are and act accordingly. There are no guides or judges. Your full self knows the way and no one is better qualified to judge you than you. So, if you wind up in Hell when you die, you probably thought you deserved to go there because that is where you sent yourself...

No, I don't believe there is any escaping hell. Think back to the parable of the man in hell. He asked someone to go tell his family, and was refused because if they wouldn't believe before, they wouldn't believe then. Also, from the many prophetic messages I have heard, the visions I have seen, and all the other truth's I have bore witness to, there is no escaping hell. The arguement has been made that our life span is like a second to God and how could a loving God of all eternity banish us to hell for a "second"? Well, we don't know eternity, do we? We haven't yet experienced eternity in our conscience minds, so, how can we really KNOW what eternity is like? This life seems long at times, you know?

regs out...

The idea of "hell" as a burning pit of fire is a creation of the Catholic church that has been incorporated into most Christian faiths. If you study the original Greek texts, you will find that the words "shihol" and "gehennah" refer to "the pit" or "the grave." The burning part was added later.

Im sure now hell is not infinite. Nothing lasts forever. Christians sound divided on this. And there have been some good non-Christian opinions. Thanks all for your input.
