you know i have to agree with you on one level here, that no matter who we may support in an election or whatever, if the game is rigged, we ain't never gonna win unless we cheat.

so....how do we find a peaceful solution to getting the gov we want? or are we really gonna have to resort to violence?

Not a very good set of choices if u ask me?

Well he is much more well known now. I still don't think he can win, the political machine still has to much power and influence to let that happen. They will rig votes and the media will ignore him most of the time except to smear him like they did last time. I worked on his campaign as a regional coordinator and went broke donating to his campaign last time.

I will not be participating this time as someone said it will waste a lot of energy and money only to come up short. I think everyone who is silly enough to vote ought to vote democrat or the worst candidate possible as the sooner the police state is fully implemented the sooner we can find out if Americans will finally say no...

Gday mate, I don't intend to single you out but what problem has politics ever solved? Except political problems.

I appreciate your conservative views and if your type of thinkers were the majority we would certainly not be in this global political mess. Australia is goin through election spin at the moment. It stinks. All of it. It's seriously like watching a puppet show. All the aesthetics are there. The stage, the interested audience, the non attending audience ( because the show is for everyone ), and of this audience only some really care and of those who care only a handful REALLY know what the hell is goin on, some columnists/reporters might be there to give their version of events or what THEY think is of concern to the non attending audience. Only thing is, we can't see the puppeteer/s.

Sorry for the rant bloke, and as I prefaced - I don't intend to single you out and again, what problem had politics ever solved? It's all just a game. Unfortunately it's the only proper and effective way to fight TPTB and their agendas. Same goes for the MSM. It's all rigged and unless something happens.... we are all inevitably doomed by our own hands.

Cheers.

Dr. Paul is a great man and a great American. But there are some things that keep him from getting elected, and will keep him from getting elected in 2012:

1) Personality. He's not a rock star and not an incumbent to make up for the fact. He's dry, doesn't crack many jokes and tends to talk above his audience. Bush Sr. was the same way but he got into office because of the success of Reagan. Clinton was handsome and personable, and talked a good game. Dubya was kind of "down home". He owned a baseball team (what's more American than baseball?) and was a very successful governor. Obama...well...slick as a snake and twice as deadly!

2) He's scary smart. Your average Joe would expect the Prez to be smart. Smarter than most. But Dr. Paul takes it to the next level. And, as I mentioned before, he tends to talk over the intelligence of most people. He would need to be more like Bush and "dumb it down" for folks to understand him.

3) His platform. We on ATS are privy to things that Joe Q. Public is not, e.g. that the Federal Reserve has nothing to do with the federal government. Joe Q. doesn't know that, however, and when Dr. Paul starts to talk about "ending the Fed" it scares people. And that's his main platform. If he wants votes from the everyman he needs to tone down that ending the Fed stuff and talk about immigration, the economy (in a way people can understand it), taxes and the issues that "hit home" to the people that DON'T realize that we are run by the Bilderbergs
.

There is nobody I'd personally rather see than Ron Paul be our president in 2012. He would fit right in with our founding fathers. He has done more for our country than anyone in recent history (the last half-decade at least) and he would do everything right. If only regular Joes could see him as we do.

Paul\Napolitano
That's the ultimate dream team, right there. God, we NEED someone like Ron Paul at the helm.
I'm so utterly sick and tired of the endless parade of butt-wipes that
comprises our POTUSes.

I'll vote for Ron Paul if he's on the ticket, but let's be honest - he won't win and the only thing his running will do is ensure Obama gets a second term.

I keep seeing the question as to whether he will run as a Republican or an Independent. I will answer that question right now.

He will run as a Republican. He explained the reason last time he ran as to why he runs as a Republican and it is because the way the election process is set up it is almost impossible to get on a ballot as an independent. He may be lucky enough to get on ballots in a few states but otherwise it is a waste of time.

This is obviously how the elite set it up because they dependent on the two party dictatorship so they would not even allow for an 3rd party to have a legitimate chance. They give the appearance that they have a chance but there really don't.
