It's threads like this that make you wish that ATS had an option to give the OP a NEGATIVE FLAG ... would be well deserved in this case !

It's probably Venus.

It is 99% of the time.

Hi Robb, care to explain why?

There is no logic behind your OP So to give a logical Answer is impossable.
An answer would be a lie.
Your OP Was picked apart for this reason. That what is great about ATS.

Regards, robbo.

Yes but without the appropriate information it's foolhardy to make such an assumption.

Since the Op said it was as bright as the moon...maybe it was the moon they saw.

I've heard of stranger things before...

Yes, I've seen it for months now.

I don't watch TV cartoons, so, I didn't see a "transformers" show.

The star isn't a star, it's a planet. It's Venus for sure.

It's is WILD! It never, ever looked this huge and bright to me in my whole life.

About three months ago, for several days, it appeared to have a massively HUGE diamond outline. It was in the center of this huge outline of a diamond shape.

The first time I saw the diamond, I presumed it was my vision - stigmatism. After seeing it several days in a row, I tried with glasses off, on, and all my different glasses. It was the same, and not my stigmatism.

So, I decided that Venus was either reflecting loads of light due to other planets near conjunct or was having some sort of sun-bathe or it was just a lot more active somehow. I was just guessing as I have no idea why it appeared so bright.

Yes, it looks huge, but, it's not new and it's not a star.

Yes! I have seen two bright objects one was today it was so bright! But it sorta looked yellow... Then i thought it was i coincidence but i looked out my window just before and seen this HUGE bright thing in the sky, it was definatly as bright as the moon! Infact it looked exactly like the moon! But surely it wasnt. It musta been this new bright star you been talking about!

One more thing, Drugs much?

Well, I said probably, and 99% of the time, wich leaves room for other options.

So what is your intention?

You only want to know wether people noticed or not, and not what it is?

Why?

Indeed.

Like Jupiter, I know the OP is talking about 2009 but Jupiter has been super bright recently, even at dawn.

Yo Robb, all I asked was have you noticed anything unusual about the stars from summer of 2009- to present??? If you don't notice, then just say NO. What is so hard about it?

Well it does seem that Venus has gotten brighter the last few years, I have noticed myself, and I think there have been lot's of threads that were discussing this.
