Why does ATS show ads of products I've been looking at online?

This happens a lot.

For instance, I have been looking on the internet for a new laptop.

When I logged on, on ATS, I saw ads of the very laptops I've been looking for.

The same thing with other products on other occassions.

How does the add on ATS know were I 've been looking on the net, if ATS is not allowing software that is snooping in my personal internet history, on my computer?

Can anyone explain, cause that is ridiculous.

ATS doesn't provide the Adds, Google does.
Google also tracks your browsing, so it
can show you products you may like.
As opposed to showing you stuff
you are not interested in. Not
one of the people at ATS has
access to your browsing.

It's called advertiser tracking. ATS doesn't do it directly.

As davidgrouchy mentioned, look to google. Check out this link:

Mmm, but ATS is allowing Google to do so then.

This never happens on other sites, at least I have never noticed.

edit:

As opposed to showing you stuff you are not interested in.

Well, was looking for those products myself, and obviously saw the products, I don't need to have my face pushed in these ads of the same products, when I visit ATS.

I never had this happen on other sites. ATS must be allowing it, don't you think?

Aren't the site rules that every user must browse with ads enabled?

Why do I get the feeling that you just want to believe that ATS are tracking what you’re looking at online......... why would they even want to do that, I have never noticed this.
