Well if it were currents, then why is it not seen all the time in the same spot? So those bubbles coming up from the seafloor as this happens don't
exist? There was at least one more, in a totally different spot but was unable to get a video in time. If these things are as common as currents, they
would be all over the place and would not be something that just decided to show up in the past 8 hours. We would also see them on other ROVs that are
pointed at the seafloor.
Not that I have seen. I think its a tool port though...not sure...never seen more than what we see now except for the weird thing with a square center
for inserting something or blowing something out. Also good to note that there have not been anymore floornadoes since these two videos. So if I
guessed, I would say a tool port, but that's just a guess.
As far as I know a current doesn't just flow in a a small area. You would see more movement on the sea floor all around the ROV. A current that strong
would be noticed by some type of movement by the ROV.
Just want to add a little something to this. A current would cause material on the sea floor to move all around the ROV and also would be noticed with
some movement by the ROV.
Exactly what I was suspecting...not only that, but it would be seen by more than 1 ROV probably...and I never seen such a thing before on these ROVs
or elsewhere...
