A Little Corner for Inspirational Beauty

Hello my friends, I hope this finds you well.

It has been on my mind lately how many are searching. Searching for answers, grasping at straws, feeling lost, looking for their Gods, etc.

I think sometimes people just fail to look around them. Am I a religious person? Well, I don't go to church, but I surely don't need man to tell me there is a God and ask me for money after he has told me so, when I can look right outside my window and see the trees and wildlife.

There is so much beauty that surrounds us daily, weather it be art, nature at her finest or most humble. One only needs to look to see.

It is such a shame the arts and music are slowly being taken out of the schools. It is no wonder people only see the doom and gloom anymore.

People have posted some wonderful threads of beautiful things in this world, and many were new to me, and I also felt great peace when I looked at these threads.

I would like to start one little corner amongst all the gloom where we can share the beautiful things we have discovered, or that have inspired us. Music or art, or even poetry. I would like to think of it as our own little class to remember there is still greatness to this world, and miracles as well. For once, something uplifting to our senses.

I have so many things to share as I am sure a few of you will as well. At least I hope some of you do. It is so nice to learn and see new things.

I was actually asked to start a thread on this young woman that I had shared on another thread, which kind of inspired this thread, so I will start with her. Some may know of her, if not, you are in for a treat. She is definitely a child prodigy of the arts.

Her name is Akiane Kramarik. She started painting at 6 years old. Her work imho is classic. Not to mention she speaks four languages, and write poetry also.
I hope you enjoy this video of her and her work, and I will put a link to her site below the video so you can learn more about her if you'd like to. It is also on the video itself.

I hope you folks feel free to share here as well, and maybe find some uplifting inspiration as well.

It kind of amazes me how people will over look trying to find some beauty in their lives. Doom and gloom the popular threads. Such is life sadly...

Anyhow, I will keep sharing the great things I have found until you folks are ready to jump in!

Sometimes I can't help wonder if these kids are of the Indigo or Chrystal children that we hear about, depending on what kind of websites you go to.

This young lady, if I recall correctly was 16 years old when she did this show. Yes it is one of those "Talent Shows" and yes a lot of folks on them are a wee bit... well you know, but every now and then someone remarkable comes through and that is not only a treat ,but just awe inspiring for those who get to witness something they otherwise may not of seen,

This is a different kind of art then above, ( Sand Art) but still created by someone very young. Her name is Kseniya Simonova. She is from the Ukraine. For someone so young to feel and portray this is quite remarkable to me.

What a wonderful attribute to the human experience. This gifted young lady is a reservoir of wonderment, remarkable in her divine simplicity, and able to achieve masterful expressions through painting and poetry.

What a great story her life is, able to visualize and conceptualize at such a young age, without exposure to tv or books. Where does that come from? Some people say God, some say reincarnation, and some say it's the utilization of regions in our brain that reside dormant in most. I'm okay with any of those.

I personally think such prodigy type occurrences could be one's ability to tap into the aether, aka Akashic Record that ancient mystics described, and that contemporary physicists are theorizing about. There is E. Cayce too who acknowledged both Christ and the Akashic Record. The ether could be described as the sum of all human experience, past and present residing in as ethereal forces.
But I digress..

As far as adding inspirational, one that you already know about is Ben Glenn www.belowtopsecret.com...
Ben's perspective is not only mind blowing, his story offers inspiration. Ben has chronic dyslexia and ADHD and he gives speeches on his struggle and how he channeled the energy into something positive. He works with children a lot also, teaching them how to focus and be creative.

As a musician, I find much inspiration in music and as far as other gifted artists that just watching them inspires? I ran across this Ukulele player who blew me away. I didn't even know you could do those things on a Ukulele!


At the risk of being gushy, when I first watched Sarah Mac sing this song, I got chills and felt her soul pour out like a sunlit chorus of emotion.

What a positive influence you are around here!

Upon reading your erudite commentary, my thoughts turned to my favourite painter…..Giorgio de Chirico.

I have been fascinated by De Chirico’s work, ever since I studied art, many years ago.

De Chirico’s “Metaphysical Town Square” paintings seem to evoke some sort of emotion in me…..

I gave thought to that before I wrote this…..I’ve concluded it’s the same emotion that is the catalyst for my intense lifelong interest in the UFO phenomenon.

If you have read about De Chirico’s metaphysical works, I think you will see that makes some sort of sense.

What a brilliant idea for a thread Yig! The first video was amazing, particulary her painting of what looked like the galaxy and the one of the pair of Leopards. I'm watching the second video you posted as I type. Incredible how sand can be crafted like that.

There is a lot of doom and gloom on ATS, but that's because there is a lot of doom and gloom in the world, so it's to be expected, and without doom and gloom in the world, there might not be an ATS because ATS in areas tries to look at what causes or what could be the cause of the doom and gloom.

Anyway, enough doom and gloom!

These are some of the most beautiful things I have discovered recently...


For the past couple of years, a pair of Wood Pigeons have been frequenting my garden and eating the bird food we put out for the birds, and they gobble it up like there is no tommorow.

Well, a month ago, I looked out of my garden window and I saw this strange, fluffy creature, that looked young and was a bit clumsy.

It was a baby wood pigeon! Mr and Mrs Wood Pigeon had a baby! He had white big eyes and his mum and dad would regularly feed him and keep his tummy full.

He woke me up one morning by being on my roof calling excitedly for breakfast!

We also have a baby blackbird, an unseen but well heard woodpecker, and squirrels!

Some more beautiful things:

I now have a bat detector which can pick up the calls of bats which are beyond our range of hearing, there is bats near my house, I have known this for a while. I can now hear them as they eat 3,000 insects a night on the wing.

Watching a documentary about Elephants, more specifically and Elephant named Echo, who was matriach of a herd and quite famous. She died during a terrible drought. Seeing the family mourn her bones and show distress, seeing the family divided by drought, but then reunited with trumpets of joy and their trunks feeling each other's tusk in what is akin to an elephant hug.

Yes, that was beautiful too.

How nice for me to get this Friday the 13th off and get to enjoy, finally, your post in its entirety.

I really think everyone should take the time to watch the guy with the Ukulele. That was pretty sweet to say the least. lol Im like you, "Who knew?"

I have been a Sahra M. fan for a Long time. Thank you for sharing that, I sent it along to my wife. Why? Because I love her!

Now the Visionary one, I really wanted to enjoy, but I was having a hard time reading the story because of the graphics used. A shame really because I think I would have gotten more out of it.

Last but not least, Martina. She was someone new for me and I loved it. I am a artist as well, and do a similar kind of work, but nowhere near her level. I do like my pictures within pictures. It tantalizes my mind. The song used in that video was very familar as well. I am racking my brain trying to think of who the artist is.

Now back to Sarah M. for a moment! lol I am also a musician and Music is my soul. I do believe frequencies of music can have a lot to do with how you react to things , or go about things etc. I was a deejay for a long time and I am glad I have heard all the music I have. Now though, I am really only interested in what truely moves me. Thank God for growing up!

Anyhow, this song really moved me. Yes it is a George Michael Song, and yes this is from a American Idol show, and yes he was sick the night he performed it, but, I have to say I have listened to it over and over as it really stuck a chord with me. I think you will find he matches your Sarahs video with as much Heart filled soul!

Maybe Maybe Maybe, you are something else! I first have to say I am now sitting here pondering what it is you ponder? For some reason, I would think your mind would be a bit "More Busy?" Not sure if that came across correctly.
At first glance this art seems a little stark. but then you look at it some more.

Do you ponder the shadow in the 1st piece? Is that Father Time in the background? Or is it perhaps Death, waiting for the little girl to come to him? Im pretty sure these are things you have all ready pondered?

I am sure you have pondered the times as well. The 2nd and 4th, seem to have those. The 2nd one also seems to have a "alien" form in it perhaps? I am trying to see where you connection from these made it to the world of UFO's etc.
Still all in all, thank you for turning me on to a new artist, and giving me something to ponder upon! Can I get out of your head now?!!!

I do have to say it is a bit disheartening when you try to share something beautiful and give others a place to do it as well, that it is so overlooked. I guess ATS isnt really the place for something so simple. No fun in that and nothing to undermined. I don't think they can say "Nothing to see here folks, move along" though! I think there is plenty to see as we already have some great things shared.

Like you I soooo love my garden. It brings me such peace. I firmly believe there is much to the cliche',"Watching Your Grass Grow!" Funny I had to get older to "Get it!"

I feed the birds and wildlife as well and I can sit for hours and watch them. The birds are so used to me I can bbq just a few feet away from them and they dont care. I live in the city, but from some unknown place, I did have two foxes appear for about a week before they moved on. I chalked that up to magic. I also had a baby white dove that got lost that I took care of for awhile. She was great to have around. One day she didnt come home, I am hoping she just moved on in life as was her calling to do.

That is cool about the bats. We had one fly around us while we were bbqing for a few days around dusk. Was kind of strange, but cool. What device is it you use?

I am guessing you have seen this about the elephant and the dog, but if not, it should make you happy too! You know, speaking of elephants, The very first dream I ever remember having wa about elephants. I have always wondered if they were like my totem or something...

Thanks for the G. Micheal vid, it was deeply soulful. The elephant and dog vid brought a tear to my eye, such sentience. Things in this thread serve as a reminder that there is much love and beauty in our world, sometimes we just have to clear our heads and take notice.

I am with you. I know there are members here that have so much to share that could be positive. I don't understand why it is so quiet on this front really.
matters not though, we have us and we have shared good things so far, and I intend to share more as well. I always say "water seeks its own level" and here we are. I think we have a great beginning here with our tiny little group so far!

Don't be shy about sharing more. There is sooo much to explore and learn.
In a few mere post I have learned of a few new artist I never would have known if we weren't sharing here. Its all good!

That video of the Dog and the Elephant was amazing. I can only conclude the elephant has been given the cold shoulder from the rest of the elephant herd, and the dog does not socialise with the other dogs, and they found each other.

It's not all that hard too believe such a thing as this friendship could happen, because humans and dogs and humans and cats and other animals get along perfectly, showing love for one another and playing with each other when the dog is a relation of the Wolf which is the predatory rival of the Human.

I have a dog and a rabbit, and while at first my dog tried to eat the rabbit, they now get along, although I think the dog is a bit scared of the rabbit to be honest. lol

And in that video was a third species that was co-existing and socialising with the elephant and the dog: humans!

I loved that video. The elephants were Asia Elephants, and are smaller than the African elephants, but have a potruding 'domed' crown on their heads.

A few years ago, a Japanese tourist in Asia filmed Asian Elephants, handed it in to all media networks, claiming to have found a new species of Elephant because he was not aware the Asian Elephant looked different from the African Elephant.

When experts saw the footage, they patiently explained it was an Asian Elephant. hehe.

I love animals and wildlife, I have always since as a child had a strong affinity with nature, and I still stare out of the window to watch a bird or a mouse or any other wildlife, and people ask me for advice about their pets and it seems to work.

Creating a haven for wildlife in your garden is important I think. It creates a respite and stopping-off station for wildlife that has otherwise been pressurised by loss of habitat and other such pressures.

Did you know you will find more species of creatures in your garden than in a National Park in Africa? Incredible to think about, and it makes you realise how important your garden is.

Like you, my garden brings me peace, and a respect for wildlife that they can just take or leave us. While we have our trials and tribulation, the wildlife just continues as it does, almost as a message to us: Hey, what are you doing humanity? Do like we do, and have some bird seed and enjoy the sun rays, sing like us birds if you want.

And that's another thing, birds will sing of course, as part of mating and marking out their territory, but sometimes they will sing just because they can, because they enjoy it, and are glad to be alive.

I think more humans should follow that example and sing in public, just to bellow out a number like "Somewhere over the rainbow" or "My Way" or "Follow the yellow brick road." whatever song really.

That would be great. Let's do as the birds do. Sing when we're happy, and when there are disputes, have singing contests to see who wins.

When there is courtship, have singing instead, to have lovers express their love for another. Cinemas and Flowers are predictable. Let's have people warbling out a song in their best voice, or a poem. That would be awesome.

Let's have a bit of Romeo and Juliet in everyday human socialisation, although preferably without anyone dying. Romeo and Juliet is a bad example, forget Romeo and Juliet, perhaps A Midsummer's Night's Dream.


Let's do as the birds do. As long as we don't try to lay eggs of course. That would be painful and rather futile and would be going too far.

I'm rambling, sorry about that, I went off on a tandem there.


I am sure the baby white dove is fine, she probably "spread her wings" as the saying goes and is exploring new horizons. You did your best for her, the rest is up to them and what nature has in store. Perhaps they have their own baby doves now.


Bats are really cool, and are more closely related to us humans than rodents, that's brilliant I think. We usually have no idea one is there at night because it makes noises out of our range of hearing, and it flies around in the nightime, and it flies and eats so quickly and yet it is related to us.


The device I use is a Magenta 'Bat4' Superheterodyne Bat Detector. It picks up Ultrasound, amplifies and mixes with another signal generated by the detector, which then produces the audible difference frequency between the two so that we can hear Bats.

The range I can pick up using it is between 15khz and 130khz, although usually bats can be picked up at the 45khz mark and from there you can do fine tuning.

It cost money, but it was something I have wanted to purchase for some time, and I am glad I did. I can now hear bats and I feel privileged to enter their world, where they click to locate where their insect prey is then make "prrhhhhhhht!" noise when they have closed in and devoured their prey. Amazing to listen to.

I had never seen the Elephant and Dog video, but I had seen this video, and I think you will like it too. It's about a Cat that has adopted a baby rabbit into her family of kittens after the baby rabbit's mother died.
