Only helping other Masons is far from what Masonry is all about. It is about helping others outside the craft and within.

George Bush was not a Freemason. (either one)

The last Freemason President was Gerald Ford.

We can only change the world one man at a time... And he has to want to change.

That's a bit of a stretch... JFK was killed 2 and a half years after he made the speech you're referring to. And he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Secret Society with only Catholic members...

Hi. My names Steve. I'm a Freemason. I've been a Mason for err.. 3.5 years.. *looks at the rest of the Masons in the circle and sits down*

It's my first visit to Freemasons of ATS Anonymous.

I'm not here to spill the beans, and in fact I was a member of ATS just a few months before I became a Freemason. Everything I've been told by real Masons on ATS has played out to be more or less all factual, minus discrepancies between states. I've never once lied about any of my Feelings for the Craft, it's Brothers, it's "agenda (to which there is none)" or anything else involving Masonry. In fact my favorite line is simple.. if you don't believe me, go join a lodge. Unless you're a woman, then you can rant and rave at me in u2u's for being a sexist pig.

And some people might think Freemasons on ATS joined together and repeat the same crap over and over and over again in a "gang-like" manor.. in reality.. most just read the thread, and respond with our views.. the reason they are almost always identical is because... *gasp* .. it's the truth.. so it shouldn't change.

believe it or not, every secret I was told, I have seen in print. On the internet. So everything we keep secret is open to the public. All of it. the problem is, like every mason here has said at least 5 times, is that you can't understand it by reading the words. You have to experience it. Only then will you get the secret. So there is no way possible for me to "enlighten humanity" without them coming to my lodge of their own free will and accord. Most of the masons here have stated that since they are conspiracy theorists, if they were able to reveal the evil dark side of masonry that the fringe keeps talking about, they would. We didn't sign up to get wealth or power. In fact the more you learn, the less important that stuff is to us. Believe what you want, as I am sure you will. But one day, should you decide to join, when you laugh to yourself at the simple truth, think of me.

Scuse me? I thought that analogy was particularly astute myself. Every organization has information which is not for general consumption. That was the main point I was trying to drive home with my post. Freemasons are no more or less important in that regard than anyone else. I'll tell you two organizations that ARE worth looking into though... The House of Representatives and the Senate of the United States. There are so many backroom secrets there that it should by all rights make the Craft look like an open book.

Just speaking from my personal experience here, but the secrets that everyone seems to be seeking are all personal. They are learned by experiencing the work done in the lodge. It's really not any simpler than that...

The irony is that Freemasons aren't trying to keep anyone in the dark.

Notice you never see threads here by Freemasons attacking non-masons or anti-masons.

The knowledge and experiences we have are available to anyone via a number of paths, whether Eastern or Western, esoteric, mystic, Native American, etc.

The truth is we are all headed in the same direction but some of us choose the Masonic path because it makes sense to us.

Are we perfect? Not by a long shot. There are some holdouts where racism exists, as well as sexism. On the whole, though, I would say they occur less frequently in the lodge than in society generally.

The passwords and handshakes have remained the same for hundreds of years. The beans have been spilled in numerous ways and uncountable times.

A Freemason won't give them to you, though, because we gave our word. It's a simple matter of honor. You get no special benefit by being a Mason, either exoterically or esoterically.

In fact, in my experience, I feel much more constrained in my behavior and opinion since joining. When I find myself ready to condemn others there is a conscience I've learned that makes me think twice.

Freemasonry is simply about finding even the briefest glance of cosmic consciousness.

I believe when a human has a divine experience, no matter how brief, of his or her place in the universe it causes a change in their spirit. A sense of comfort and purpose appears.

I've only had tiny brief instances of these experiences myself. I even feel there may be far more effective schools for this type of experience than Masonry, but I like the camraderie.

One time I was slicing a peach and happened to cut the edge of the pit by chance with my knife. When the peach fell open the pit did as well and I saw something I was completely unprepared for... there is a small perfect seed inside the pit.

My whole life I'd thought the dirty, rough pit WAS the seed, but in a flash of being caught aback I got the briefest glimpse of how mysteries and secrets are concealed in plain sight, yet available to anyone.

All of our heads have a hard candy shell, to paraphrase Chris Farley. But when we see ourselves as the certain peanut within the shell, and understand how it circumscribes us, we truly begin to understand that the entire universe is a candy bowl ready for us to enjoy.

Anyway... it's not the Masons keeping you in the darkness.. it's yourself.

Go to the light.

Ha ha, that gotta be a first: Notice how Freemasons never attack anti-masons?

That is all they do, they gang up, first they ridicule and next they derail.
At the same time they are constantly giving stars to each others replies!

Please I have been on ATS for several years now, and that is all they do.

True there are a couple of Masons here that really show people the light, people like Masonic Light etc. Very rarely does he make fun of another ATS user, but the rest of the merry crowd, they are standing on each others backs, to slander and throw mud at the so called anti-masons!

Now I will grant you, that some are asking for it.

But that is still no excuse to demeanor one self to personal attacks and slander!

Fair enough, I might have read something wrong into your post!

I still stand by what I said. It is plausible, that the secret societies are being used as an intermediary vessel, for the higher echelon!

People who are trying to juice Freemasons of any credit or honor are fighting a losing battle.

If anyone really does have such a deep hate for Freemasons or the Illuminati or other similar groups then they can make their own group that's against all of the said groups.

Then have people ridicule their group as being evil.

Or so were told.

In this digital age where more is known about masonry, its not exactly prudent to just publicize yourself as one.

on the other hand, Jeb Bush is a Knight of Colombus

Heres an interesting story about the KoC. A family member of mine is a member of the sicilian mafia. My dad mentioned to him that he was interested in joining the KoC, in which my uncle replied, "im a member". After speaking a little about it with him he mentioned how his initiation was the most embarassing ordeal he ever had to go through.

My dad was than like "what??!". Ya, my dad the stanuch catholic was a little distrubed to discover that the KoC, the catholic worlds most populous order, means to embarrass their members when they initiate them. Why would they do that? what kind of christian order is this. My dad overall is confused about the whole thing and refuses to face the implications of what that means. He knows full well the mafioso things my uncle is involved with. Any person who knows this man knows how ridiculously crooked he is (although a nice man). But, he lives in a corrupt world. His dad brought him in and im sure he was initiated at a very young age. This could explain why hes so anti religion, he knows how corrupt the catholic church. The KoC is used as a cover to network with other people in the world of organized crime.

Im not saying all the chapters are like this. But, it shows that atleast some are. We live in a massively corrupt world. I think the P2 Lodge scandal revealed the truth about the relationship between masonry and he Vatican. The vatican is no more against masonry than tertillian and justin martyr really believe he BS that 'satan came' and established mock religions which is why Christianity so much resembles hermeticism, etc. Please, these people are conartists. Theyre Greeks, Romans, misleading the ignorant masses is a part of the job.

The Vatican is the brain of the entire occult conspiracy ,as the famous saying says "all roads lead to Rome"

It's really quite easy to find out which famous person is a Mason.. for starters, Masons, who love to brag about their respective Lodges, would never let such a secret stay hidden. The Lodge would tell all the other Lodges that they had Bush (jr or sr) or Reagan, or Clinton, or whoever else..

In any case.. Bush's were Bonesmen .. not Masons, though I'd consider Skull and Bones a true conspiracy, whereas Masonry is... rather dull (in the sense we are not trying to take over the world of course)..

KoC is the Catholic equivalent to Masonry.. only more secretive.

You guys are getting off subject with the NWO. I am a REAL Mason and not lower level. Middle management we'll say at the moment. We' don't keep everything a secret. Basically, our signs of recognition and what happens in Degrees although some things you can find on the internet, but most are twisted or just plain wrong.

The Masons do not have a bad rep. They have a good rep. They help make things better in your community. Research this and you will discover it is true. What bothers me is the Masons that say "oh WE do so much already" as an excuse not to do something for a charity or good cause when they do # and are taking credit for what OTHER Masons are doing. We have brethren in our organization that are not worthy to be called Masons let alone be Masons.

Every organization has their bad apples or those that are simply talkers. In truth, they are dead weight. Google Masonic lodges and what town or city you live in and you will start to get a clear picture of who we really are. Much of what is on the internet is nonsense.

I've been in the Freemasons for 4.2 years and have several different bodies within the Craft, and have held various positions/titles within each.

With my experience in the Fraternity I see no reason to "spill the beans" as nothing that the Freemasons have been accused of have panned out. If I did though, I'd face expulsion charges, and rightly so. I would lose respect from the Brethren who I've befriended. I'd also feel empty inside as I compromised my integrity.

On these forums, I've given my opinion and as much facts as I could.

Yeah, we may ridicule once in a while, but only with the completely insane and stupid accusations. For the most part though we post real facts from real sources, not recycled lies.

We do give star points to each other, but who cares? Non-Masons do it to on this site. Also, if you make a good point, I'll give you a star.

We don't hide our membership. There have been only 14 US Presidents that were Master Masons. Jefferson may have been, it's rumored, but there is no evidence for it...although I'd like for him to have been one.

I mean, if Bush was a Mason, you should be able to tell us what Lodge he belongs to and when he was Initiated, Passed, and Raised.

I can't speak for the Knights of Columbus, but no Masonic ceremony has ever been embarrassing or made me feel uncomfortable.

P2 was a rogue, clandestine Lodge not recognized by any Grand Lodge.
