4.2 Earthquake in Wyoming

I searched for “ 4.2 earthquake in Wyoming” and found zero threads.
Back on August 4th at about 6 pm, Wyoming had a 4.8 earthquake that was 3.1 miles in depth and about 20 miles East of Jackson. earthquake.usgs.gov...
This was followed by a near by temblor of 4.2 earthquake.usgs.gov...
And then another nearby quake, registering smaller at 3.2 and deeper at 4.3 miles, at 11:45. earthquake.usgs.gov...
Although scientific data currently discounts any correlation with CME’s, I found it interesting that as our Sun awakens and punches out solar flares, the Earth reacts by shaking it’s skin.

scientific data has said much throughout our history, like the earth is the center of the universe and everything goes around it. The earth is also flat and woman are born with a much smaller brain then men.

I think there is something to the link we just don't know where to look yet.

On the contrary, I would argue that the scientific revolution in thinking allowed mankind to debunk those myths you listed.

Earth is center?

And women have a smaller brain than men? It's usually True BUT there is a balancing factor that you need to understand, thanks to science for helping us find out about it.

According to one psychology professor at the University of Pennsylvania, there is no difference in the amount of gray matter in men and women. To make up for the smaller brain size, women have 55.4% gray matter vs. 50.8% in men.

Do these earthquakes pose any type of danger in relation to the Yellowstone caldera? I do not know personally but I noticed it was pretty nearby. Just wondering out loud.

I was wondering the same thing.
It would be interesting to see an updated ground penetrating radar study, or TransEarth Satellite Study. Perhaps it would display changes in the base of the caldera.

At least it wasn't the caldera at yellowstone-or we would all have known about it by now ! I hope the caldera doesn't wake up or we are all in trouble in the U.S.

Your questions regarding the proximity with Yellowstone may best be found in the Yellowstone thread. The last couple of pages are about the Wyoming quakes. There was another discussion about the initial quake a couple of days ago. The last 20 years show regular activity in the area so while noteworthy, a few earthquakes over a period of a couple of days doesn't signify anything especially significant to me.

Regarding the CME correlation, it's an interesting concept and while I don't follow it extensively it doesn't appear to be ready for prime time yet. We still have a lot to learn about the inner workings of the earth and the universe and there certainly could be some relationship between the two, as well as other factors and variables we don't fully understand yet.
