AUSTRALIAN euthanasia doctor Philip Nitschke has launched his suicide pill, and a film about the suicide of a healthy 79-year-old Perth woman, in the
US.
The controversial documentary tells the story of Dr Nitschke's involvement with Lisette Nigot, a retired academic who wanted to die before she turned
80, despite being healthy.
It premiered at the American Film Institute's festival SilverDocos in Washington DC in front of an audience of about 100 people last night.

Queensland police will not charge anyone involved in the suicide of Gold Coast woman Nancy Crick.
Mrs Crick, 69, was a voluntary euthanasia supporter who died at her home two years ago surrounded by 21 family members and friends.
Her post-mortem examination results released last month showed she had no signs of cancer.
