Criminal Reduction Utilizing Statistical History(CRUSH)

The system, known as Crush (Criminal Reduction Utilizing Statistical History) evaluates patterns of past and present incidents, then combines the information with a range of data including crime reports, intelligence briefings, offender behavior profiles and even weather forecasts. This is used to identify potential hot spots and flashpoints, so police forces can allocate resources to areas where particular crimes are most likely to occur.

This is a kinda of technology that I do not like. You know there needs to be 2 different societies. The Society that wants to take care of it's self. It buys it's own land and protects it by it's own means. Then if people would rather live in their cities and be policed and let their technology protect them then so be it but don't force your rules and law on to me!

This is one step closer to letting computers dictate who is free and who is not.

It looks like one of the technologies that would lead to proactive/preventive law-enforcement, whereby people are arrested for crimes they may at some point in the future commit.
