Are we seeding our own disinformation?

It is human nature to categorize and simplify things so that we can understand it easier. There is so much information in the world today that it is impossible for one person to know everything there is on one subject, let alone on all human knowledge. We generalize things to better understand them, however, at times we over-generalize and this is a very dangerous thing. We have plenty of people here who work for governments, the military, police force and many other jobs that are consistently being attacked here on ATS. They are good people, not spies or dis-info agents. They are people like the rest of us, curious about the things we haven't been told and passionate about the truth. We need to be mindful that we aren't attacking these good people just because of the profession they are in.

Passion is a good thing, and we have quite a bit of it here on ATS, but we can not allow that passion to blind us. If we over-generalize and are blind to all the good people, then we are no better than the corrupt and the conspirators because...

...we are inadvertently seeding our own disinformation.

We are a large group of people who are open-minded to a point, but I fear in our passion for uncovering the "truth" we are blind to the possibilities of the real truth.

To acquire the truth we must look past our prejudices and preconceived notions. We must open ourselves up to what is being said and determine for ourselves, by research and true logical deductions, what fact really is. We must look past religion, government, psychology and even accepted science to get at the truth. We must not resist when the truth is uncovered and it is not what we were hoping for.

Never forget why you came here to ATS in the first place.
