UFO in FRESNO different colors and BRIGHT 7/16/2010 9.30pm

California Mutual UFO State Section Director Jeffrey Gonzalez forwarded the link to this UFO video that he said was taken July 17, 2010, over Fresno. Gonzalez says he knows the person who took the video and believes it is one of the best videos of UFO activity in our skies.

Well I think this is the best footage I have seen. Some of the comments on YT there seems to be another witness or though I can not confirm any truth in that only by reading the comments on there.Still what do you all think of the footage.

Are we to honestly believe that MUFON took that video seriously??

Airplanes. It is amazing to me that the guy filming couldn't figure that out...OR, does he know, and just wishes to get on the "Alison Kruse" bandwagon???

Yes i have read that thread as for planes well this why i posted it because to me this looks strange I am no expert but hope this can be cleared up or put in Hoax thread if this is a hoax.

All I'm saying is, as a pilot for ~38 years, I have a lot of experience looking at airplanes.

At about 1:35 I can see the red beacon (on the belly...there's one on the top of the fuselage as well, but not seen in that perspective angle). All throughout, you see the white wingtip strobe lights. The steady whitish/yellowish lights are the various exterior lights, like landing lights, and runway turnoff lights, wing lights, etc.

When the guy videoing sees it moving to the right, and then appearing to "stop"...he's seeing an airplane that was angling to line up with the runway...so it had relative motion to his right. Once aligned with the runway, the relative lateral motion stopped.

This is the same effect Alison Kruse films in Pennsylvania...she is directly in line with an airport runway there.

I suspect this man is ALSO situated somewhere directly in line with the airport runway at KFAT (Fresno Air Terminal Airport).

The runways at Fresno are aligned on heading 111/291 degrees:

The most active direction of landing/takeoff would be to the northwest, if I recall (haven't been there for many years, but prevailing winds would favor that direction usually).

So that would be runway 29. (Also, just looked...airport doesn't have an ILS procedure for runway 11...so predominate is 29).

You could research as to his position when videoing, for confirmation.

Seems the more and more people with ready access to video cameras, more and more of these bogus "sightings" crop up...sad, because the "real" ones ( if and when they occur...still hopeful ) will get lost in the noise of these failures.....

Edit:Just one thing what about the last part of the video just around 2mins 55 seconds and I [call me thick ]but fail to see a plane as for the rest of the footage well I leaning more towards plane .

They might not have. Have you ever searched their case report database? You REALLY gotta search to find a good video or picture. Most of the stuff on there are pictures and videos that have been edited by people that don't know what the hell they are doing, are small and grainy and look like they could be anything, are pictures of blurred bugs and birds, obvious fakes using a low shutter speed on a light source dragging the light out into trails, you get the idea. I am almost embarrassed to have submitted two reports there myself. But NUFORC doesn't take that #.

That light is on the ground. You can see that earlier in the video.

You have to be kidding me, this is beyond retarded. Im sorry but i have to ask the op, did you watch the video or did you just see UFO in the title and decide to post it?

Thanks for the video. Fake or not I live in Fresno and know there are some things in our night sky that will leave you wondering. I have seen some things that my mind has a hard time understanding, although I am not the most scholarly, however my daughter some years back had drawn what we would classify as a triangle. The kicker is we didn't at the time have any media to suggest it to her, at least as far as I know. What I mean is we didn't have t.v. or magazines or anything like that, not until much later in her life.

And just in case you think there is nothing in Fresno, I would like to rehash
