US tags Australia a sex slave destination

THE US Government for the first time has named Australia as a "destination" country for sex slaves, putting the nation on a par with countries such as Morocco, Colombia and Lithuania.

This is a sad indictment on Australia, & likely to cause a diplomatic flurry besides. And due to Australia's draconian laws regarding "illegal immigrants", it probably serves them right, as it would appear that Oz has been concealing the true facts by lumping the alleged sex slaves in with illegal immigrants.

It also seems to me that the US is less concerned with its own "missing children" than it is with this particular issue. Perhaps I'm being unkind here in referring to another ATS thread that was distressing to me, and I'll stand correction on this point.
