Israel Tortures Detained Children

This is horrendous. There is no morality in the Israeli government. Any country that uses torture on children should be totally isolated.(including the US) Torturing 14 year olds is ,,,,well, midevil.

I have to say, i haven't gone to your link..i'm not going to either. I don't think i could tolerate the revulsion i know would more than likely be waiting for me there.

This is not new, there are some famous American cases if one looks.
leading to confessions for crimes that were commited while the "perp" was in jail...go figure.

The funny thing is they're projecting torture methods from their own culture.. I don't even want to start getting into that...

At any rate I doubt any of these children were tortured.

I will agree on one point though, there is much to be said on the mental damage of a boy taken into interrogation, and it's a sad sad reality that should not exist.

Sadly many times the Israeli army catches a 14 year old boy with a bomb strapped on him, sent by some villain to an Israeli check post to either be shot down, or blow up.
So what do you do now with that kid?

I have no info on the matter, but I don't think Israel puts children in jail (at least not as a permanent solution), so the only thing you can do is try and get the person who sent him, and while you're at it scare the living crap out of him, and if that doesn't seem fair to you, then I guess you never had a 14 year old boy explode in your face.

Also if you think for a second that these children get arrested for no reason then you're dead wrong.

And again, I doubt the credibility of this article.

One kid says he was threatened with having his balls electricuted, the other one said they "attempted" (which means threatened) to insert something up his anus.

Whatever, I can go on about these being traditional arabic torture methods, and that the Israeli intelligence has much better methods, but at the end of the day any debate is pointless as:

Seriously, you'd rush to believe anything you see written, no matter who writes it, or what proof they provide?

At the end of the day you get two kids who were threatened and not harmed, and you have no info as to why they were picked up, when, who are they, for how long, etc...
How convenient is that?

No, I'm an Israeli, and if you ask around you'll find that while I'm clearly subjective, I don't find my country to be infallible, and would mostly call it as I see it- When Israel is wrong, I'd be the first to condemn them...

I just don't this that they're wrong, I honestly don't find this credible, and this is more shock journalism then anything, and also there's no real evidence of torture, there's just threats- They threatened one kid with one type of torture, and threatened the other one by "attempting" to preform another type of torture, and while this is still not right by any means (as I've stated in my first post) this is far from torture, and the reader is left in the dark as to why these kids have been arrested in the first place..

I assure you it wasn't for fun..

Did any of you see what Aljezzera was showing to the people during desert storm?

They were lying to the people , telling them on live TV that there were no soldiers there, at the same time other countries were showing the troops moving in. Aljezzera was on the very next block, they were very much aware of the troops presence, but wanted to maintain that there was full control.

Just an example of how they manipulate and lie to their people.

I can't wait until the light is shined on these people. I can't wait for justice to come on them. It's coming I feel it, I know. I've been to the IDF, and not long ago, so I know how it handles itself but the IDF has nothing to do with interrogations, it's the Shabak, they handle internal affairs, they interrogate, etc..
And I know those guys can be rough, I'm just not sure they'd be that rough on children.. I mean, if that report had any kind of proof in it I'd be able to consider it, but those kids are saying they have just been threatened, and not actually tortured, which is reasonable if you need to get information out of a child, also a child coming back from such interrogation wouldn't want to tell their families and friends that they just told the Israelis everything, so they might make up a story.. No?

At any rate, this is AlJazira, and these children have not been harmed, only threatened, so it's not like I'm blindly defending my country.. I'm just seeing it as it is..
