Just another dirty but expected tactic of BP to cover up the truth and rape the American people. This is outrageous, but so is just about everything else going on with BP and our government pertaining to BP right now. I keep wanting to say to myself that the American people are going to say, "Enough!" and demand accountability, but realistically, I know that this isn't going to happen.

The same thing was done with the Global Warming Scientists. Give scientists a big enough grant and they will do your bidding, even if they have to distort, manipulate, and delete data to do it.

Just like the corexit creating plausible deniability and Exxon swallowing up the company, everything they do these days is designed to make it impossible to find/follow them and find someone to hold responsible for the rape and pillage of the gulf. It's sick. The government is a part of this plan. When they are done, nobody will have justice.

I spent a lot of time with insurance-defense lawyers. If you study law, you will find that in the beginning people did not actually go to court. Instead, they hired "professional liars" to appear for them in court. Not much has changed.

Now, of course BP is going to be beginning a search for "expert witnesses" to appear for them in the zillions of court cases that are going to begin probably soon. Generally they will hire by curriculum vitae's known lists of experts in their fields...in this case...marine biology...petrochemical engineering....and on and on ad nauseum. Many of the cases, probably 90% will settle out of court, but for those which do not, expert witnesses will be needed. Of course the plaintiff's side will have their own team of expert witnesses in the same fields. Of course BP has more money....but when it comes down to it....the plaintiffs (the side suing) have a clearer advantage -- the suits will be filed in their home states. That means, to put it in a way most people can understand, they will have the "home field" advantage. In the south, this is not to be under-estimated.

Where seldom is heard the rattle of small change -- or the truth.

They aren't just hiring these scientists to be expert witnesses, rather they are just putting them all on the payroll, a lucrative payroll, and then forbidding them to speak. This isn't just a simple case of hiring expert witnesses, rather it is case of buying the silence of all the scientists.

Yey just another huge part of the obvious cover-up and still people aren't demanding that BP be dissolved, criminally liable or even accountable. The more one peers into this incident, the more obvious it becomes about how we were hosed and continue to be so.
