Im hoping that my eyes are decieving me on this one. This thread really does sum up the ignorance of those hell bent on control and power. Have they not learned anything from the "Current ongoing Disaster"?

They call it “Iceberg Alley”, which doesn’t take much imagination and Geoffrey Lean sailed down it three years ago.

www.telegraph.co.uk...

Please read the full article to the end.
We are headed for a nightmare of unseen before proportions.
Also check out the waterline on the iceberg in the photo? Very strange. How has is rose?

It does make you wonder why these risks are being taken. Is the search for oil getting so desperate that we put an even greater risk to ourselves and environment?, is there a true shortage of oil thats making us do this? or does the need for oil lie much deeper than we think?.

I cant put it down to greed, there has to be some underlying reason for these risks that were not aware of.

I agree and its pointing more in the direction of causing catastrophes than to greed. Whats more worrying is that if they are causing these and are aware of it then whats the motive? Population control?

Imagine if an oil leak like th BP one happened offshore in the Arctic a mile under water.. With ice covering the water, -50F...

There would be no stopping it. right? Can ROV's handle those temps, or is the water actually warmer the deeper you go? (Compared to the surface)

It would still be crazy. And if it happened, would they even report it to anyone or just quietly move away from the leaking pipe?

Population control would be the more expected reason as the worst effects from these disasters are yet to come. When you look at this alongside the storing of seeds and important historic records etc. its easy to see why so many people are expecting a world ending disaster. Time will tell.

Was doing a bit rooting. I typed Iceberg Alley into google maps and noticed an orange patch? Can anyone tell me what this is?
