I would rather question the government officials responsible for border security. Since they can't seem to do the job, it looks like volunteer citizens will have to do it for them.

If you are at the Tea Party, you should ask why they aren't organizing armed citizens militias to deal with the problem instead of relying on the ineffective government.

Please ask them this-

Why hasn't the war on "terrorism" included protecting our own borders?

-and-

Doesn't anyone realize the American people are being held hostage by our President stating that we will not move to protect the borders until an amnesty bill is passed?

Thanks!

Since they are always accused of being a bunch of right wing racists, ask them if they would feel differently if a conservative white man tried to:
1. Force them to buy insurance or be penalized.
2. Tried to push through Cap and Trade that will "skyrocket" the price of energy.
3. Ran the yearly deficit up to nearly 2 trillion per year.
4. Intentionally, neglected the Mexican border and fought for Amnesty for all illegals with no plan to stop them from flowing in the future or apparently no desire to enact such a plan if it exists.
5. Let the economy stumble while raising the cost of health insurance, fighting to raise the cost of energy, and are letting taxes go up when the economy is one step from the brink.
6. ETC!

Yeah....ask them what they think about the whole "being born in the US makes you a citizen even if you're parents aren't" thing. I don't understand how people think they are going to get anywhere unless this law is changed, since it basically just gives illegal immigrants (no matter where from) a way to protect themselves. They are using their children as tools, which is wrong on so many levels.

What needs to be rebuked is the idea that Tea Party members are somehow the "good ole boys" network, hardcore racists.
On the other hand if the accusation is true I would like to see more evidence of it.
I find it sadly comical (and completely American:@@
that one racist group (NAACP) can point to another group and call them racists.

The air needs clearing on this subject as well as what is their real agenda?

Good luck and safe travels, i'll be looking forward to your report.

I was into the Tea Party movement even hosted several rallies. However I know that our 2 party system is like a Coin it has 2 sides but it still has a common goal.

That goal is to do the bidding of the people behind the scenes that pull the strings.

So I guess my question would be:

Where is your line in the sand? When will you be ready to take up arms and follow our nations heritage of removing tyrants from control over we the people?

Find out if they are the "Palin" Tea Party or the REAL T.E.A. Party. Who in politics are they closest to ideologically.
Thanks.

You could ask:

Would you fell differently about immigrants if you knew that statistics showed they were much less likely to commit a crime than a US Citizen?

If forced to choose between giving up certain constitutional protections and rights vs. strengthening illegal immigration enforcement which would they choose.

Yes...provacative, loaded questions wrought with assumptions, but you might get some interesting answers.

PLease get them on tape saying that FOX, Beck, Palin, and other TV Tea Partiers are not representative of us!! As a Tea Partier, I can tell you that the TV version is extremely off base!

You are also welcome to visit my Tea Party in Tallahassee. Very powerful, very active, and I truly believe nobody will be elected in my area without our support. Politicians are clamoring for an endorsement, and all of our people are ahead in the polls.

I doubt you get an answer, but this is an excellent subject for the "real" Tea Party.

Ask this, specifically, "What will be your next action if the results of the polls in November do not match what you know to be true about how people voted?"

In other words if the Tea Party is very successful, and the people turnout and spea out, and vote their conscious, but the results are the same ol same ol. Will the next action be violent? Will entrenched politicians be forcibly removed?

I believe the answer is yes, but I doubt you get it on camera.

What you are suggesting is what Pol-Pot, Castro and every other two bit dictator did.

We live in a Democracy. We vote our leaders in as opposed to installing a regime via violence and if the TP feels it has the right to overrule the American People's vote via violence then I would hope the government would smack the TPM down with prejudice. And if somewhere in fantasyland the Gov failed to do that, know that I would be fighting to preserve the democracy by whatever means required and I doubt I would be alone.

What trash. What utter garbage. If the manner in which the American Public votes is not to your liking then get the hell out. Go to Cuba...see how that "Peoples Revolution" is doing. But saying that violence is the answer to putting "your people" in office...that offends me and my country.

Utter garbage. I certainly hope you are NOT representitive of the Tea Party.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I felt I needed the special tags for this question to make it clear that I am asking as member and not a moderator.

The TEA Party as a whole is a grassroots organization that strives to bring a voice to the common person in the form of representation that is woefully lacking by the Dems and the GOP. The sad consequence is that local affiliates deal more in local issues and as such branches in the American Southwest generally do not express the same issues that the ones in the Southeast or Midwest do with the exception of a couple issues.

Will the local and regional TEA Parties begin steps to organize, send representation and form a true National TEA Party with a clear agenda and platform to finally let both the Democrats and Republicans know that the US is indeed governed by the People and not lobbyists and corporations? In other words, embody the well known expression, "If you don't want to listen, then maybe you can feel."

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

I would like to know if they actually have an agenda, or are just angry. Neither the right or the left seem to have an idea that appeals to us in the middle. Either we give the poor everything or we give the rich everything. I, personally am tired of the rhetoric and would actually like to hear something that made some sense.

To make more of a point, I do not want to see folks rewarded for breaking laws or sitting on their butts, but at the same time, I do not want to see people starving in the streets, and dieing of things that could be easily fixed. We need answers not anger.

Well, since for the most part they are just normal Americans who are upset that their "culture" is being hijacked by left-wing,liberal lunatics, wishing to destroy this country from within I would like for you to ask them the most important question of the time.

"Boxers or briefs?"

The TEA PARTY is not grass roots... tho it masquerades as such. It's really a not-so-secret right-wing / FOX News takeover of the Ron Paul Revolution.

This is why the Tea Party is mainstream, and why FOX News seems to be its biggest supporter.

Tell them if the Tea Party drops Sarah Palin as the spokesbimbo that many more folks will take them seriously.

I would also like to know how a homegrown militia movement can possibly take on the Mexican Zetas who have the full financial backing of multinational drug kingpins behind them. Just look on YouTube and there are numerous videos showing the full auto weapons, claymore mines, rocket launchers, and grenades that they are armed with.

Well I hope you will keep an open mind about these Tea Parties and do not get riled up by the people who portray them negatively.

As far the posters maligning Sarah Palin Tea Party, they need to get off the hate wagon. The Tea Party selected her not the other way around.

The questions I think you should ask:

1) Do you fight policies & tactics of the POTUS because he is Black?

2) Are you manipulated by the Republican Party?

3) Does this movement have any biases against Mexicans or anyone who is Brown skin?

4) What does the Tea Party want the Government to do?

Thank you and have fun out there.

I've been convinced (wrangled) to also attend, as we've been assured there will be some very interesting tidbits revealed by the speakers. So we're packing up all our audio and video gear to see if this might be something.

We're also trying to get some "sit down" time for a few questions with some of the VIPs we've been told should be in attendance.

More on this soon.
