I suppose my grandparents would have been termed "survivalists". They were farmers during the Great Depression. They raised and canned their own
food. Had a milk cow from which they made butter and cream for their use and trade. Grandmother made clothes out of flour sacks. Grandfather hunted
and trapped and they used ALL of the animal, including the pelts and hides. And they came out the other side. Today, we try to emulate them and get
tagged as a nutcase, end-of-the-world survivalist. I say that's just prudent living.
