Preincarnation = Travel back in time? Just as possible as any other theory, right?

I don't know if this has been thought of before. I'll google it after writing this.

What if preincarnation is possible? What if people like Nostradamus are actually preincarnates that experienced the future and traveled back in time?

Your thoughts on the idea?

I've thought about this before, I can't say that I've ever heard of any "past life" account to support it though.

Well, as a Pastlife Regression Therapist, reincarnation is my job ... and I like the way you think. I have always believed that the soul / spirit is not hindered by the confines of linear time in the way that we mere mortals are ... so I see no reason why this cannot work both ways.

I will be interested to see what others think about the idea of 'preincarnation'.

I've always had a hard time buying off on the whole 'reincarnation' idea; just too preposterous for me. "Preincarnation" seems all the more so.
However, I shall never be known as one who won't even consider something's possibility, so I shall think about it.
However, here's one main problem: If it were true that all - or, at the very least, most - of these so-called 'prophets' came from some sort of "future body," than why is it that so many predictions have failed? If they prophesied about the end of the world, their former body would have had to have been there - and just how would these 'prophets' have remembered their 'past-future life'?

If corporeal existence involves causal trajectory (which does seem to be the case) then Preincarnation couldn't happen. Everything that exists as physical within this corporeal realm has left a contextual trail behind it, and whatever it was that brought it into existence (mom and dad, a seedling, and extra loose hydrogen molecule hooking up with one of its own and an oxygen molecule) left a contextual trail behind that, and so on all the way back to the beginning of time. Preincarnation insists that a person's full emergence, their physical genesis, could somehow shatter the causation structure and enter into an established causal trajectory without obliterating the entire existential superstructure.

While I'm sure that some esotericist (probably not a real word) could construct an argument on behalf of it, constructing an argument and reconstructing the entire causational structure to allow for such a breach are two completely different endeavors.

What possible reason do you have to assume that reincarnations must necessarily follow chronologically?

I once had a coneversation with a person who beleived in reincarnation, and mentioned a possible previous life as a woman. He was completely shocked. It had never occurred to him that someone might reincarnate as different genders. Me...it had never occured to me that someone might reincarnate exclusively as one gender.

Isn't this kind of the same? You wonder if anyone had ever thought of it before. I ask how it occurred to you that it would be otherwise?

The short answer to your question is because I never heard preincarnation (or non-chronological reincarnation) discussed before.

Thanks.

I believe that Robert Monroe talks about this in his series of books. I can't quite recall which of the three, but I'm pretty sure it does come up. The explanation for why this is possible being that outside of the TSI (time space illusion) there is no linear time. I can't get my head around how that works.

I guess right now, here, on earth in the TSI and various points in time, both future and past, are happening all at the same time. But then, if time does not exist outside of this reality, then it would not be happening at the same time. I don't think we would have words for the order in which events occur...I'm not sure if events would have an order...

So would I be able to "preincarnate" into myself again? Retaining all of my memories? That way, I could experience my life over and over and actually be able to answer my own questions about what would have happened if I did not do this or did do that. That would be cool! Remembering some psycho ex girlfriends and making sure I never dated them, or taking a chance on the one's that got away. Investing a few thousand dollars into the then unheard of little company named Microsoft, not wasting my VA home loan on my first wife, not getting so wasted at that one company Christmas party...etc. Sign me up!

The only answer I have is the theory some have put out there that all of time is laid out to exist all at once; past present and future.

Living your later lives first in a nutshell.

If this were the case it goes against the whole idea that a soul is building itself up with experience and progressing.

You would start of wise and end up daft by the time you reach your first life in the future.

It goes against the nature of time in that humanity progresses with various things.

If this were possible it would have to happen with no order whatsoever otherwise you would be un-learning everything you had previously learned. Kinda cancels out the whole point of purpose.

Just my thoughts

Yep i think if reincarnation is real, than surely you can start before you where born too.

I would like to be a tibetan monk hundreds of years back, instead of living in the puke west, where males cannot be alone and live a spiritual life to themselves without interaction with others.
