Here Comes Trouble For Everyone!!!

Can someone please explain to me exactly how a solar flare could start a civil war?

Assuming for 1 second that the civil war that the OP was referring to took place in the U.S, what exactly about that day would cause people to rise up against the government if their power were to go out for a few hours or more?

Is there a big NFL game on that day that people would miss? What's the deal here?

However this sounds interesting... is there gonna be time for a warning? also I heard that simply unpluging your electronics would prevent damage, anyone else heard about this? 150 years or so ago they had a big CME cause the big old telegrampoles they used back then to shortcircuit. A comparable CME hitting earth now is a possible scenario

its not your electronics you have to worry about, its the power grid. A CME blast can wipe out the all major power grids. the problem after that happens is we dont have the spare parts to make new grids. they pridict it to take 1-2 years to get the country back online. scary stuff.

This is connects to the time wave theory. They predicted a burst on July 5th and as you can see one happened. Note: if a eruption accrues it could become geo-effective. A.k.A lights out! next timewave date is JULY 12 2010 circa - Civil War in USA or in another group of countries. I think they are saying we line up to the sunspot July 10th so if we do get a blast i can see a civil war type event. not so much fighting between states but Chaos due to no power, food, and water.

That's fear mongering!

Yeah but it's all a bit sci-fi isn't it? I've read about the possibility of this happening if we get hit by a large enough flare but the chances are almost non-existant. It's a load of bunk!

It's just a plausible scenario based upon a hot CME.

There was a youtube video I watched recently about
surviving after such an event. I can't remember the
name of it, I'll see if I can locate it.

The "visitors on Saturday" was pretty freaky. I'm definitely going to church this Sunday, possibly stop in for a Friday mass tomorrow...anyway, about the power grids, heat wave in the Northeast and southern US is on the news since yesterday. Probably going to cause some outages due to extra strain on the power grids. Officials are already asking people to conserve water and cook, wash clothes etc. after peak hours to help stave off problems. We live in a rural area and the power frequently goes out here.

I really love the sun, and our star friends lol, either way this should be a interesting weekend.

It's quite a thing around here. Believe it or not, there are those that bend over backwards to kiss certain members backsides, at the slightest opportunity.

OT, hopefully, this Solar business will be another non event, and all that would happen, assuming a CME erupted in our direction, will be pretty Northern light shows. Hopefully.

The OP is not fearmongering - he provided a link from NASA. Some here took it off topic to aliens and it got kicked. This is something we should stay on top of and hope for the best outcome possible.
