Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of the mythic explorer Jacques Cousteau had an interview with "El Mundo" newspaper from Spain. I had to translate it, but you can find the original (in Spanish) at (Source)

“In Exxon Valdez 20 years later, you can still find oil half meter deep into the sand. In the GOM we have an Exxon Valdez every 4 days, you do the math.”

Do you think the spill will really get to the East Coast of the US?

“It will get out of the Gulf, into the Caribbean and picked up by the Gulf Stream. It will go on all the way to England, France, Spain and Portugal. I would say it will reach Spain in less than a year.”

Do you think the relief wells will stop the spill?

“I don’t think they can stop it. There’s something nobody is talking about, that is the pressure. If you seal it, it will burst somewhere else. That is why they keep telling stories ‘We are trying, we are trying’ when what they really want to do is to let it all come out. They could have stopped it, but there is a huge risk it will burst somewhere else.”

So it will gush until it runs out?

“Basically, or until the pressure drops. It has to come out somewhere, and because the whole system has fractures, it could come out anywhere else if they try to stop it.”


So… if you thought that by living in Europe you were safe, think again.

Here in Peru, it will some way or another affect me. As Cousteau says, we are all connected and depend on the oceans.

This is frightening. I hope he is wrong. 2 things here, it suggests that after a year, they won't be able to stop it. Also, it suggests that this is a lot worse than many people originally thought. For the people who downplay it and say its not a big deal, hopefully you won't be eating your words.

I live in South Florida so believe me when I say this. We will all be effected by this spill in some fashion for decades to come.

Does he mention the ramifications of Corexit on this? Isn't that sinking most of the oil in place?

We won't know until it happens. And as for oil gushing out the planet is not the only thing that's playing on my mind. There are other events yet to play out for us, many are un-aware of.

TPTB will keep MSM on the oil subject to keep many of the population distracted from The Coming Changes. Then only will people really discover the truth of the damage on a catasprophe scale of oil pollution.

I was told from a source from day early this year before the oil disaster that we all need to keep close attention to the environment. He didn't say much but he made it very clear what we have to do.

No he doesn't mention Corexit, but they talk about a method from a company named Ecomerit, which uses natural gas to trap the oil, raise it fast to the surface in bubbles so it can be caught. This oil is still “usable” to make gasoline.

What we are seeing in the beaches is a mixture of dispersants and tar, 40% of what makes your car move is already gone through evaporation.

I'm sorry to say this to all. BP will never stop the leak they will continue to feed MSM with the truth and MSM's editor will be paid a very highly paid package for the end of 2010. Collateral damage has always been the most profiteering tactic whether it be that of war in Afganistan, oil leaks in Alaska, dumped depleted Uranium both the Queen herself owns and the Rothchilds own.

Uranium is worth more than gold and so next people will be hearing about how raidoactive the oil is, well for those who do not know much, it is dug from deep grounds and has radioactive compound material which is then extracted into more usuable and less-dangerous levels of radiation.

Big oil companies have always profiteered from "collateral damage". Its one of the most vulnerable ways to make money from the public.

Great point he makes about the pressure, and that is why they keep changing stories.

What he says is true, I just found video footage of Prince William Sound and there is oil everywhere still.

Talking about profits...

Cousteau also says that last year BP profit was 6.3 billion bucks. That is the same number as the entire world population!

I just watched the vid too, its terrible.

And still they keep saying “Mother nature heals fast”.

I really bought that, I mean, I really thought that after some 10 to 20 years the oil would have been degraded because of the weather, waves, animals and insects, even microbes.

Looks like we are testing the power of nature, I just hope we don’t get to the point where we say “Well… it was too much for nature”

I was very shocked to see that oil is still saturated in the soil, you can see it and smell it.

I remember the Valdez spill, and at the time I thought it was horrific. This makes that look small in comparison, I read that Deepwater Horizon gushes that much (as the Exxon Valdez) every four days.
