The cost of harboring illegal immigrants in the United States is a staggering $113 billion a year -- an average of $1,117 for every “native-headed” household in America -- according to a study conducted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).
The study, a copy of which was provided to FoxNews.com, “is the first and most detailed look at the costs of illegal immigration ever done,” says Bob Dane, director of communications at FAIR, a conservative organization that seeks to end almost all immigration to the U.S.

if the US reduced 10% of our war efforts that would solve the immigrant crisis, save some lives and make the US more neighborly.
Cheers
Are you factoring your numbers off a yearly basis or the fact that we've been "at war" for nearly 10 years. Not only that but keep in mind not all that money is "waste" as compared to illegal immigration. 1 trillion divided by 10 is about 100billion.

Groups that support immigration reform immediately attacked FAIR's report and pointed out that it is the polar opposite of the Perryman Report, a 2008 study that found illegal immigration was actually a boon to the American economy. It estimated that illegal immigrants add $245 billion in Gross Domestic Product to the economy and account for 2.8 million jobs.
Legal citizens to parents and families that are primarily illegal. They dont pay taxes therefore they are leeching off the american system and the harm is being done by illegal immigrants.

Another GOP fail. The 'illegals' getting educated are mostly US citizens.. or are we supposed to believe these k-12 kids hopped the fence somewhere?
Remember anchor babies..?
Read the article and you'll see they admit they're actually citizens.

I bet it's way more than that...of course there are always issues of methodology with this kind of study...but are they factoring in the costs of the extra heroin addiction and death that the porous border gifts us with?
One reason they are so frequently saying "Mexicans do the jobs Americans don't want to take" is that many of the younger working-class Americans who would take those lousy jobs have already died of heroin overdoses ...I would like to see one of these exciting statistical studies addressing that aspect...
