A couple questions about reporting an assault...

Did we cover the media part yet?

There was a recent story here about a women in GA who was allegedly a hoarder. She or someone called 911 for help for her. The "media" had all the 411 about the case. They wrote a pretty derogatory story about her hoarding habits, all but giving away her address based on some comment from a paramedic (I think it was). Some right to privacy there. Yet you all are saying that a concerned neighbor can't simply know if a crime was reported?

Why ask for opinions, concerns and/or other's considerations when you're merely going to pick and choose those which seem akin to or "acceptable" by your own. (?)

This thread wasn't an open invitation for mafia-minded people... because that's exactly where most of the responses appeared to be coming from... criminal sources. And because basically... I'm not doing any of my readers any favors by allowing these types to derail any of my attempts to get HELPFUL feedback.

Are you one of these people who sit back and allow people to blow smoke up ur a$$ unchallenged??? Not me.

If you've ever tried to locate some of the people in these stories like I have on occassion... you have to wonder how the media manages to cross these legal boundaries without getting sued. I'm very serious here... because I've had 'nutjobs' literally dispatched to my front doorstep... and I have the members of the underground media to thank for those types of tactics... among other things. And it's the type of tactic that's usually done to intimidate and silence people.

As for the woman that you mentioned in your post... hoarding is a mental illness and should be treated as such. Attacking them and exposing them for ridicule is a 'Springer' tactic that I abhor.
