Ok the term " giant " means different things to different people . To some the hight 6's to 8's might be seen as a giant to others the term might paint an image of a " Jack in the beanstalk " type of fellow .
Are there large people ranging in size from 7 to 8 feet , sure without doubt .
Are there some ranging in the 10 + feet range ? Not that I have ever seen in a documented way .
If we are to look to the Bible as a resource , which I don't mind , we need to look to the original Hebrew , not an english translation .
Not all bible researchers have came to the same conclusion over the giant / sons of god issue . Most of what we read into the book of Genesis comes from the ideas presented in the book of Enoch . It seems many have chosen the Enoch point of view as a means to fill in the blanks found in Genesis rather then digging deeper into the bible to search out meaning .
Having said that I do not fault the OP and am happy to hear different points of view as this is a topic that I do find interesting .

So what do you think then? Is Cornell University covering all this up with a whole bunch of fake photos and lengthy study of fake findings or is are these pictures the property of the Indian government and are real?

The National Geographic Society has not discovered ancient giant humans, despite rampant reports and pictures.
The hoax began with a doctored photo and later found a receptive online audience—thanks perhaps to the image's unintended religious connotations.
Perpetuating the Myth
Helping to fuel the story's recent resurgence are a smattering of media outlets that have reported the find as fact.
An often cited March 2007 article in India's Hindu Voice monthly, for example, claimed that a National Geographic Society team, in collaboration with the Indian Army, had dug up a giant human skeleton in India.
"Recent exploration activity in the northern region of India uncovered a skeletal remains of a human of phenomenal size," the report read.
The story went on to say the discovery was made by a "National Geographic Team (India Division) with support from the Indian Army since the area comes under jurisdiction of the Army."

Why is there even a debate regarding this picture ? It is taking away from the whole topic of giants in our past , which just may be the case , but that picture is not evidence of anything .

This has nothing whatsoever to do with Govt of India ....there was no such news released in any Indian newspaper for that matter. I am a journalist and there was nothing ever reported in any credible newspaper or by the Press Trust of India (PTI).
Don't you think that this would make for a significant discovery?....There is absolutely nothing about this in the The Indian Archaeological Society as well. The pic is an elaborate hoax once you take a good look at it and part of the creationist propaganda.

Let me take a step back here and look at my OP , sorry I just don't see what I said that would cause me to find fault with the OP ? I simply offered my take on the topic of giants , no ?
As for the Indian government , which you brought up and directed to me , I simply posted a link directly referring to that picture and sourced it back to N.G .
Not sure what I said that has lead you to believe an implied agenda when that is simply not the case .
On September 16, 2000, Steve Westin of our staff was a guest at the site outside Hyde Park, New York, where the Paleontological Research Institution and the Cornell Department of Geological Sciences are excavating the skeleton of a mastodon. He used two digital cameras to acquire images of the site, some of which are assembled here. Each of these images is actually a digital mosaic made in our Digital Photography Laboratory by carefully processing and assembling the individual camera images to provide a wider field of view than is available in a single image. Martin Berggren, head of the Digital Photography Laboratory, assisted in the stitching process.

What ? Are you for real ?
I offered my opinion stating that I personally see the issue of giants differently then the OP'er . I then politely stated that I find the topic of giants to be interesting , which I do on a scriptural / interoperation level , to only get blasted by you because I don't jump all over the OP'er for making a post here on ATS ???
Is that right , am I seeing this correctly ?
