New studies show how countries like Canada are getting by with the regular Flu and swine flu pandemics without mass vaccination.

This are news every parent should read.

Over the last four years, Canada has had a grand total of 16 "flu-associated" fatalities for their pediatric age category -- which includes everybody under the age of 18.

This included all H1N1 and seasonal cases. Three-quarters of these deaths had severe and chronic underlying health conditions.

That's 16 total deaths among a pediatric population of 7.86 million, the majority of whom -- 60 percent or more -- remained unvaccinated.

By comparison, during the same four-year time span, the identical U.S. pediatric group had 553 flu-associated deaths. Compared on a per capita basis, the U.S. exhibits a stunning 3.2 times death rate over Canada.

Now how is that? US is after all the most vaccinated country in the world and because of that we should all be safe and ready to fight diseases right?

A new study followed close to 200 adults during fall and winter. Participants had blood samples drawn monthly, and a 25-hydroxyvitamin D test was used to measure vitamin D levels. All participants were asked to report any evidence of an acute respiratory tract infection -- such as nasal congestion, sore throat, cough, fever, chills, fatigue or general malaise.

According to Newswise:

"Of the 18 participants who maintained vitamin D levels of 38 ng/ml or higher during the study period, only three (16.6 percent) developed viral infections. Of the 180 other participants, 81 (45 percent) developed viral infections. Those with the higher vitamin D levels also experienced a marked reduction in the number of days ill."

That is very interesting, to know.

just proves to me that vaccinations and pharmaceuticals dont actually have a use.

The last time I was sick to the point of vomiting was... I cant even remember. I get the annual running nose and cough but it never progresses beyond that.

I havent gotten any vaccinations since the mandatory ones as an infant and i dont take any form of pharmaceuticals to try and fight off sickness. If i get a cough, or running nose, 3-5 days later and im right as rain again.

And running nose is just that, a runny nose, its not the over melodramatic television version, just a simple annoyance.

---I see people on facebook all the time, "oh boo hoo, i have a runny nose and a slight cough, good thing i just took 3 different kinds of pharmaceuticals! that should take care of it!!" ... It makes me giggle because if something with some actual strength attacks their body...its going to tear it to pieces because of their compromised immune system.

What are you talking about, "without vaccinations" lol

Canada bought H1N1 vaccines for every man, woman and child in the country. When H1N1 first came about there were vaccination centres at clinics, school gyms, grocery stores, everywhere. I got mine and so did everyone else I know. It was the largest "mass vaccination campaign" I've ever seen, and well done if I do say so myself. Canada looks out for it's citizens and I'm proud to be apart of a country like that.

Regular flu vaccines go out every season too, I got both at the same time. It would seem that the low instance of death would be the result of easily available vaccines for everyone, regardless of income since we all get health coverage, not the other way around.

No, the reason why the Swine Flu dident turn into a repeat of 1918 and is because we have antibiotics. The majority of people who died in the 1918 Flu outbreak actually died of secondary bacterial infections which are preventable today.

A lot of Canadian did Not get their shots though. No one that I know got shots, and the swine flu didn't even come into our town. Lots of shots went to waste. We have the option of a shot, free, but it isn't pushed down our throats, and we are told to keep our vitamin D levels optimal. We also have hand sanitizers everywhere you look. Banks, grocery stores, doctors offices......

I never get the shots, I just take lots of vitamins, garlic, chicken soup, tea, and avoid as many people as possible when an illness is out there. Even though we don't get optimal sunshine (real vitamin D), I think we are a healthy bunch up here, and we generally eat healthy .

I think the US is over vaccinated, and over prescribed everything, and that lowers the natural immune system.

I'm with snowspirit.

I did not get the vacc nor did anyone I knew in my circle of friends. But I can't say that the Vitamin D has been pushed either.

Although Oil of Oregano has been VERY popular on this coast (west).

I've heard of that stuff, I used to live in Vancouver, I miss the good health food stores. I started using more herbs and heavy spices on everything too, they add a good punch of antioxidant power with no calories.

I am now in Northern Sask, so we get the Vitamin D pushed here, we are so bundled up in the winter, more sun than anyone else, always sunny in the winter, but at -40, even your face gets covered.

Uhh... don't you guys have a higher population than us, and therefore would have a higher number of flu related deaths for the simple fact that you have more people to get sick?

Canada-34,161,000 people
U.S.A.-309,651,000 people

en.wikipedia.org...

I could be wrong but this does seem to explain the higher numbers in the states.

Well, now that we have a higher consumption tax, our people are the only ones that are going to keep YOUR economy afloat.

Is not reason to hate our friends and brothers up north, they are as Americans as all of us here in the US.

Now when it comes to statistics it doesn't matter is the population is big or not, what it matters is how many people in Canada goes without vaccinations compare to the US and how they seem to be less affected by certain diseases and pandemics.

Many developed countries in the world doesn't vaccinate as much as the US and they seem to do just fine, now here in the US with all the vaccinations things are not better.

Well that is new to me, I am not baby boomer but thanks to them we got HCR, see the whole scam behind the HCR is due to the fact that the baby boomer's and their lifestyles were going to eat into the private insurance profits as they were entering old age and full of health problems.

now we all have to pay for their mistakes in lifestyle.

Well this Canadian told the teachers that if they ever tried to form any form of vaccine on any of my children they were instructed to scream NO, its evil genocide, and run full steam from school. The entire staff and principal knows what I think of world issues, because I told them and my kids and I take things like Vitamin C, and grapeseed extract, when we're sick.
