I just did a search on mammograms, just to see who responded to this topic.

A while back, the government decided to recommend women under 50 not get mammograms because it resulted in too many false positives. Since these false positives scared women, the Government decided they should not be administered to this age group. Just a handful of members posted on this topic.

I can guarantee anytime the government would recommend withholding information because it might scare people, would generate hundreds of responses. But since this was a female topic - it barely got noticed.

Then I did a search on Viagra. It seems THIS is a very important topic here on ATS!

This is how I see it.

Women tend to be more practical creatures than men... They concern themselves with the here and now, getting on with living, tackling the things they think they can do something about (whilst seldom bothering with things they have no control over), and generally just getting on with it... rather than procrastinating.

Men on the other hand ...

Before anyone says anything... I'm a 54 year old male

That's my experience in my humble 54 years of life ... Make of it what you will

What are you all on about, every woman in the world is in on the greatest/oldest conspiracy in history.

If you truly don't know what it is you have a lot to learn.

It is to drive men men wild with their feminine wiles/charms/looks/smell & then confuse/bedazzle/fool & in general turn men into gibbering idiots.

I for one love it & wouldn't want to change it for the world, even if I could.

TPTB knew this.

Get the women....get the families. thatsthe way its always been yeah!

Most women are just.....stupid. They are just so in the matrix its ridculous. ATS women can blame it on what ever they want.....but they are just making excuses. the truth is the majority of woman just dont care. They are just care about. make up. cars. money. sex.twilight.music. Just anything pop culture.

The horrible truth is....women are just wired to be this way. Im not saying women cant be smart or 'awake'. its just that those that do tend to be a rarity.

I agree with the above post.

Females tend to have fewer hobbies if any. I would consider being awake a hobby per se, because you have to keep up with it. Anyone agree?

Well, you cant lump every woman into the "stupid" category..but I do tend to agree..lol..my mom cant even pump her own gas.

But..Id have to say..Im not as "stupid" as some..not tooting my own horn..but Im a bit more awake than the average bear.

Oh..and what's wrong with sex and music? I can do without the twilite, cars and makeup..hmm money...well..I wouldnt mind having more.

I am a woman, but I find that online, because my name is androgynous, I'm usually assumed to be male.

I have noticed that the conspiracy field does seem dominated by men, but then, maybe we're just hearing from the men more.

I think more women are into conspiracies than we think. I'm often surprised here on ATS that some of the blokes with their strong opinions are in fact women.

I remember there was a little old lady who was running a charity shop for some cat protection group in our town. She was at least in her 80s. One afternoon I walked in to find her chatting to some other oldies about underground bases - where they might be - how big they were etc.
I mentioned The Secret Bunker not far from us, (which everyone in Fife knows about so it's not really a secret any more).
She had a hand-knitted jersey on and a huge cardigan to match and she pulled it tight around her because the shop was freezing and the roof was leaking from the rain, and she got close and she whispered.
"you wonder... you wonder what happened to the men that built that?"
"What do you mean?" we asked her.
"Well if it was a bloody secret bunker they were building what did they do to them poor men after it was built eh, eh? I'll bet they didn't live to tell anyone they built a secret bunker! Poor buggers!"

My gran used to come out with strange things too, for her age. "Never, ever eat toothpaste," she says, "it'll make your heart beat faster."

What is with these troll-tastic threads? I gave up on the other one and came in here to say something and see the same damn thing going on.

Anyway, here's what I came to say: I don't really see anything here. Plenty of chicks play with their toes...Linda Howe, the "coconut oil" lady (look her up, actually kinda fascinating), the lady that worked on ancient astronaught theory at nazca...um...I know palm readers lean towards the conspiracy bent. There were lots of ladies at Greene's Disclosure movement.

This was off the top of my head.

So. Um. Yeah.

Actually, I think there are quite a few of us here on ATS, but most people don't realize we're women.

For example, often times, when I post something, people always refer to me as a male when the post something back about me. It's really no big deal to me, so I don't usually point out their mistake.

So, perhaps, there are a lot more of us than you think.

I deal with this issue every day.. I am always trying to show my wife a picture of a good legit saucer, but she is completely against even looking most of the time... But this is because she just doesn't care about aliens or their flying machines..

If it is something she cares about then it will be hard to get her to shut up about it.

She has always been a fan of Jacqueline Kennedy and just the other day she saw an old docu about JFK and she kept asking me who I think shot him...

If it interests a person whether male or female, they will follow it heavily...

But it is true that women in general are more interested in other "regular" things, and not ufo's or other conspiracies... It is also true that there are many women that are totally in to conspiracies and strange stories...
Women are more practical about life than men are, as some posters have pointed out..

Men are just as uninterested as women are in these subjects. Go out on the street and have a conversation with random takers. You are going to find most people just don't care. It's not a gender related issue.

And I just have to ask this: What makes you think that because you care about something you are so much better than the person that doesn't care? Why do you look down on people who don't share your interests?

I think I have a very different perspective on this. First of all, there is no doubt there is a lack of female perspective n the conspiracy world and skepticism in general. If this wasn't so, then the whole Conspiracy Chicks gimmick would fall on it's face being old news and nothing unique.

The reason is that women are more spiritually connected and hold more power. The PTB know this and have known it since their rise in early history. They knew that matriarchal societies were not going to lie down and accept being ruled over by people with no real right to rule. This is why women have been persecuted and downtrodden. This is why women today have been largely marginalized and dumbed down.

If you dumb them down, then the men follow suit. Since the men look to women for pretty much everything in life, it is not necessary to to keep males as close minded. So what if guys go around touting conspiracy and metaphysics? As long as there is a stranglehold on widespread female intellectualism then there will be a chilling effect on whatever men have to say.

TPTB have targeted the female gender as a failsafe. I personally believe that, if left to their own devices and unmanipulated, females would be much more wise in general. There has been a concerted effort to relegate common female interests to banal physical interests and skin deep social issues.

The reason why men are more vocal and interested in this subject is that it really doesn't matter what we, males, have to say. As long as the fairer sex is kept asleep, the Alex Joneses of the world can shout and scream all they like.

If you seem to think that there isn't truth to my claim, just look at chick flicks, the fashion industry, female privilege, daytime talk shows, trashy romance novels, crappy movies like twilight and tell me there isn't a female dominance. I'm not saying females are more prone to mind control and ignorance. I am saying they have been specifically targeted and suppressed for their strength and importance, just like how a slave owner would maim or kill the strongest slave to keep the rest in line.

I suppose women just have more common sense than men.

Take ATS for example. 99.9998% of everything on this site is hogwash, humbuggery, balderdash, poppycock, bunk, drivel and so on and so forth. There is little rationale to many of the things posted here, just a slurry of mixed thoughts with little evidence to back them. If women are staying out of the general conspiracies field, that must suggest that women simply hold more common sense, right?

If we are talking about American Women, then I can easily point out why they are not prone to look behind the scenes to uncover a conspiracy.

American women are inherently brought up to be materialistic, superficial, and controlling. From Walt Disney, who literally trains American Women to be princess oriented and to be the object of lust and worship, down to the monetary system which trains them to use their bodies to attain control over men who have access to wealth and power.

American women would not be prone to looking for conspiracies when they benefit from the system as it currently exists which caters to fame, fortune, wealth, and materialism. In other words, if it isn't broken, then why attempt to fix it?

Think about it. Who is the largest consumers of smut magazines, reality television, celebrity life, fashion, clothing, and the traps of the material world? Would diamonds have any value if it were not for the women who covet them? Yes, diamonds have other uses because of their crystalline make-up and their ability to transfer information, but, what are diamonds used for, or sold for commercially? Lets talk about Gold. Although Gold has many uses as a conductor, what has been its main purpose for existence in the 20th and 21st centuries, if not the whole of history of mankind? Need I answer that?

When a system benefits a specific gender or population, why on earth would this gender or population attempt to look outside of this system for flaws? This is the reason why most women do not gravitate towards the conspiracy field. However, I am not going to be short-sided and attribute this to all women. Certainly there are many who have awakened and understand that the system is flawed which creates disparities. The fact of the matter is this though...when a woman does wake up from the false nature of reality, they are usually more of a benefactor to creating a better society than 10 guys who also wake up from the same false reality. And, women are more prone to take action than men because men typically choose the cowardly route and avoid confrontation.

Regardless,

Namaste and Love to all who have awakened, and even those who have not. We are all eternal brothers and sisters trying to ascertain enlightenment within a reality geared towards destroying our spiritual nature. We are all equal in the eyes of the creator, nature, and the Universe.

This thread makes no sense at all. Such tosh!

Let's slag off men instead. Men cause all the problems on the planet anyway. Let's have a go at them.

You people should be ashamed, particularly you up there. Seventy years old and you haven't the sense God gave you.

Just shocking.

Why do you think there are less women in the "conspiracy field" compared to amount of men?

This is my first ATS post; i've lurked for a long time and finally joined the other day. I'm a woman; 50 y/o and i wish i knew why there are less women interested compared to men. I'm much more involved in the "conspiracy field" than my husband is, though he IS aware of matters. Then again, i had visions when i was 16 y/o old of what is happening now, so all of what's going on now is pretty spooky to me and each time another piece of that vision comes to pass, i get a little jerkier about what's happening and what's next.

I think some of the gender differences and the presumption that more men are interested than women might come down to verbalization. Men can more readily understand the "mechanics" behind some of the matters and talk about them more fluidly, working out the events much like a general might work out a battle plan. Women, on the other hand, tend to take in the information, translate it to "feelings" and then go with their feelings.

It might go all the way back to our hunter/gatherer days ~ men bounced hunting scenarios off of one another until the best plan formed, while women just went about gathering and storing what was needed with no strategy necessary. Men think more about "what do we DO" while women seem to think more about "what do we NEED."

The genders will never fully understand one another, but need to keep in mind that each has their own strengths and work wonderfully well in pairs. ;o)

Hope i did this right.

Wow.

I mean WOW. I'm blown away by some of the absolutely ridiculous replies on this post.

Out of all of my female acquaintances (In real life, not online), only one isn't interested in conspiracies or sciences. One. Out of thirty or so women that I interact with on a regular basis.

That one woman?

My Grandmother.

That's it.

And by the way, boys- I am a woman. I've been interested in the supernatural since I was a child, and much more complex matters and conspiracies sine my pre-teens.

I, like my other female friends, enjoy talking about spirituality, aliens, the NWO, the BP-BS and the direction that things are heading.

My mother is the woman who got me into it. My mother who -ladies, it's not fair to use excuses!- was a single mother of three. She worked her ass off, and still believed that Big Brother was watching every move.

She made sure that us three kids knew that there were bigger things at work. She got me into reading the classics on religion and spiritual enlightenment.

Supportive? Perhaps not entirely. But she never prevented us from learning about things that were considered out of the norm.

So for the people who are like, "Women don't want to/can't deal with the stress of trying to learn/figure it out/bother" it's nonsense. A woman can, and will do it.

And to the guy who broke up with his girlfriend over it- it's a shame that you found a duck in a pond full of swans. But a lot of the women who tiddle through ATS are probably going to be just as concerned with their looks, what's on the next season of Bones, CSI or Housewives, and if they're wearing nice clothes or not.

Right up there with posting the next thread on how we've been overlooking the real culprits behind the contamination of our food supply.

Why are there less women debating?

There aren't. You're just looking in the wrong places.
