I'm a romanticist. For some strange reason I lead myself to believe that I'll be happy with one person and one person only. That your soul mate is out there and it is just a matter of you finding them or them finding you.
Although, the more I see this world for which it really is; the more I realise what I believe isn't actually what I am suppose to believe in. Everyone has flaws, and it's the harsh reality. Is that where God comes into play with most people?
I'm an pure athiest and choose this way of living because I like it. Not to be preaching my views but could God or some other form of deity be the reason of existance to some people because of how they feel and their loneliness from departure of their soulmate.

Likewise

Could the belief in a soulmate be the reason of existence to some people,

due to their lonliness and departure from belief in a creator?

Just asking.

Or could my belief in a creator be the reason why I have my heart set out on a soulmate? (I use to have belief) Or is the case that my soulmate is my creator?

This.

There are no "soulmates". Such a belief will cause serious problems in your relationships.

I do belive in the theory that there is a soulmate for everyone.
Why do i say this, because i no that i have met mine. I used to have the same dream all the time about a man, i could never see his face. But his presence made me feel so safe and happy.

Then 8 years ago i met my partner, and you no what...i stopped having the dreams. I have never felt so connected to somebody before. We no each others thoughts and how each other are feeling.

And still to this day, i can be sitting there thinking about him and my phone will ring. Like yesturday, i picked my phone up to call him and as i did my phone started to ring and it was him!!

So i do belive we all have a soul mate.

Such intimate connections can occur between anybody given the right circumstances, male or female, lovers or friends. When it happens between lovers too often it is assumed that this is because they are "soulmates". There is no such thing and it creates an unrealistic viewpoint on one's relationship which can later be problematic.

I don't believe in soul mates, I think it's physical attraction coupled with a personality that is compatible with yours.

I dont think so because being alert to Existance is being alert to GODs full presence around you and prevents the from being lonly. As far as someone being detached from their soulmate and attaching themselves to the higher power for comfort, I dont see anything wrong with that and it may help GOD find a more suitable mate for that individual in the end....
