Movie website closed by the NIPR - Distribution of copyright content ?

I as where going to watch the new Twilight movie on my favorite web site, i got this image :



But this site is only giving the link the the real video on the provider servers. e.g. youtube, daily motion, megavideo, stage6 and so on ....

Distributing links to copyright content is a crime ? I tuts that the one who as the file on is server would be responsible for this copyright content. Thus it sould be the video provider that is guilty of all charge ?

Your thought ?

The movie industry commits crimes all the time, and how many crimes are committed by the fbi?

Amazing how they make rules and just apply them to who they want.

Well google could be in serious trouble then !!

Not sure if it's a crime or not. However I do know that this has been done before in the UK. It doesn't shock me to see it done in the US now either. Heck I read a thread a week ago that spoke about new piracy laws Obama wants to put into place. Google Iron Man 2 Torrent? Busted. Even if you don't visit the website or download it, just searching for it implies intent. I don't see that one going anywhere though, it's hard to criminalize intent.

Movie studios, artists and media companies have long battled illegal file-sharing and piracy sites with lawsuits on top of lawsuits. The government cited data from the Motion Picture Association of America, which claims that the U.S. film industry loses $25.6 billion a year to boring fims.

The truth is the movie indursty doesnt want us to see any movies or cartoons for free, they want us to pay and waste our 20$ bucks for nothing,even if the movie is pure crap, well i think for once its time


To stop buying anymore flims from hollywood let them eat the dirt for all i care, they enderd it.

If you have been watching the newest releases from Hollywood, you could only come to one conclusion, that the World was coming to an end.

It's the message I got, so why bother charging now? I mean, what can you do with all that worthless paper anyways? Better to let the masses have a bit of entertainment so they won't notice they are being exterminated.

That's just my thoughts.

They are not HOSTING ... but refering link to the video provider, just like google and bing.

The web site that are really hosting the movies are : Youtube, google video, megavideo, dailymotion and so on ....

Dam lies !!!
