I’m so sick and tired of being sick and tired, of being so thick and mired in being sick and tired. Just like the Atlantic Ocean where there’s a big gaping hole without any suture, now there’s a galvanic commotion and constant news of life without any future. Every day there’s another Armageddon, so why get out of bed, cuz I’m a dreadin’ just another day of insanity, just pour me a drink so I can deaden, my profound disgust for humanity! A population stuck in their irrational aberrations, doing their bidding for the multinational corporations. Everyone waitin’ for some magic potion to heal the blackened tragic ocean, cuz we can’t let go of petroleum, man, cuz then there’d be no linoleum, man.

You think that Pocahontas in her teepee had a clue that Diophantus would pave the way for BP? You think that Thomas Jefferson at Monticello with all his crafty promised efforts in such a jaunty fellow as Barak Hussein Obama would take the time to talk disdain to yo mama? You think that’s rude, man? Check out all this crude, man! I’m talkin’ ‘bout bubbling crude, black gold, and I mean like troubling dude, Texas tea, so that those elite so bold, could be the powers that be, with their big rigs and towers in the sea, can keep pumping money into pockets deep, and keep dumping funny fuel for rockets cheap, boom, to wage their wars, engage their whores, doom, enrage the hordes.

Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble;
Triple, triple, waters ripple, liar turn and dolphin’s cripple,
Quarter, quarter, where’s the border? Wire churn and money hoarder,
Quintus, Quintus, God forgive us, fire burn and Satan sent us.

I’m so fed up with this entire get up, all the crap that never lets up, I would fight it just like any other would, I would fight in the name of brotherhood, but when you fight a corporation that is personhood, then your fight’s just an abrogation, and what is worse it could draw the line in the sand, causing alienation, internal immigration from major evacuation, and everyone’s stuck in FEMA camps, buying food with redeem a stamps, bitchin’ ‘bout the partial flaw, and ditchin’ hope for martial law, to hell with the Constitution, it’s just a constant illusion, a new age institution, a new world order, they own it, and you are just a boarder, welcome to the new world order, the new world order.

Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble;
Triple, triple, waters ripple, liar turn and dolphin’s cripple,
Quarter, quarter, where’s the border? Wire churn and money hoarder,
Quintus, Quintus, God forgive us, fire burn and Satan sent us.

You think that Sitting Bull sang a tune to plea, and think it fitting so just so he could die at Wounded Knee? You think it right that Andrew Jackson liked to rant, just because he was a white Anglo-Saxon Protestant? You think that Nikola Tesla, with all his vaunted free energy, could save us from all this mess luv, from all this haunted pre-synergy? Or, do ya think that all this blarney trouble is the path to hell paved in brimstone, while wise old men like Barney Rubble speak their wrath to tell ol’ Flinstone of all the possibility, if only we took responsibility, but there ain’t no compatibility, no plausible deniability, no possible acceptability, welcome to the new world order, another new world order, order...

Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble;
Triple, triple, waters ripple, liar turn and dolphin’s cripple,
Quarter, quarter, where’s the border? Wire churn and money hoarder,
Quintus, Quintus, God forgive us, fire burn and Satan sent us.

Welcome to the new world order, another new world order, new world order, order…

I feel priviledged to be the first to reply to this post.

Bloody hell, it's bloody brilliant.

Really makes you think. you know?

I love the use of reptition and the pure rhythm I feel while reading it. Oh and the Disney reference XD

I can actually visually see this as a monologue.

Man oh man you're a poet and I didn't even know it. You rhyme all the time. I loved this story although it left me a bit sorry for I feel your pain and we all know about the impending toxic rain. What is there to do but to keep it from our shoe? Big star and flag, this situation is such a drag.

Your avatar looks like my AOIC when I was stationed in Washington D.C. I swear the resemblance is uncanny. It is strange that you use a cajun screen name as well because he was a cajun. Courier was his last name. A very wise old man I must add.

Edited to make you, your. Oh how I hate that.

I found myself trying to apply an approptiate tune [in my head] to the words you wrote.
Read it a couple times and found a different tune, each time.
Well done.

Man, I read it and rapped it out, I read it and rapped it out again. It works and it hits and it hurts like it should.

You should send this to someone who can record it and get out out there where millions will hear it and learn it and rap it out and get angry and let their feelings out.

It's beyond brilliant.

It's truth.

Mike

By the way I'm in my 50s and while I also get the coffee house feel I can really rap to this. Like Dark Elf says, it bridges the generation gap.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I got a coffee house feel from it also. And yet, others rapped or put it to a tune. This transcends the generation gap! Well done!

Wow, this had to flow straight out of your head and off of your fingers without linger.
To some women this kind of spice in a man is nice!

You read the news and shake your head probably thinking common sense is dead.
Nonsense day after day, its a wonder we remember how to play.
Please continue to share with us that beautiful mind you possess, from where your thoughts and your heart confess.

Sincerely,
A fan

I came back to the boards to make sure I hadn't missed a story, and I'm glad I did.

This is powerful stuff, JP.
Excellence from excellence.

Brilliant !!! Jean Paul. Masterpiece.
Thanks for sharing this with us, I hope there is more to come.
I wish you great success, I hope you are noticed by all the right people, it would be a shame for so many others not to have the opportunity to read your writings.

Oh, boy oh, blugger. I never saw yours, until now, and too it does seem, you wrote before me, a rhyming, rhythmic, son of a flugger! It's a meme, it's a theme, against me, don't you see? A downright dirty, do drill me, conspiracy scheme!
