All right, I have been kind of wondering. One of the reasons that I support keeping religions active is because they serve as a kind of force against
what I consider to be a much more dangerous, but really similar creature, nationalist philosophies such as communism or fascism.
Does anyone else get the feeling that in the United States we are about to be quietly slipped into some kind of communist state where the state
controls every last decision of our lives and it becomes evil to be an independent thinker?
I support capitolism because it means that individuals are allowed to pursue happiness and earn money in order to buy a house for themselves and their
family. In a free country they can have the hobbies they want to, say what they want to, and do what they want to and if it doesn't work for them
then that's fine.
I am extremely terrified that our country is changing into a place where every aspect of your life is watched by the government and you are judged
good or bad based on whether or not you are providing for the state. In other words, do you have a hobby of gaming? Too bad. You better see to it that
you limit your hours there, bud. Why? Because you aren't providing for the state. For all of you that thought you were going to get a free pass to
smoke weed once religions were out of the picture, think again: the state will be a much more dangerous enemy to you than religions ever were.
In case you haven't noticed, key words such as responsibility and duty are being used to subtly brainwash citizens into reworking their moral
framework into viewing everything as an issue of whether or not you are providing efficiently for the state or not.
Back to my original point: this would not have been possible had our original moral fibers remained intact, and religions remained separate from
government. However, when religions become nonexistant, the government becomes the religion and can declare morals.
At any rate, whether you agree with religion or not, my main point is that you have to watch out for this insanely dangerous amount of state control
in the future. And most importantly, remember, IT IS NOT MORALLY CORRECT FOR THE STATE TO CONTROL EVERY PART OF YOUR LIFE. No matter how much you want
to believe it. It is not morally correct for you to base right and wrong in your life on duties and responsibilities to the state. That is, in effect,
the state controlling you, and evil.
Remember, when this country was founded, it was founded by a government that worked FOR THE PEOPLE, not the other way around. Any violation of this on
the government's part nullifies any legitimacy they may pretend to have.
It is not evil to work hard and follow your own unique vision in order to buy a house of your own, on land of your own, and lead a life of your own
choosing.
The government is going to try to tell you how to live your life, and they are going to weave their lie in such a way that you think it's right, and
there is no escape. It is already happening. They are going to convince you that the bottom line is what you can provide for the state, and that you
have no free will, and many other evil things, that being an individual is evil, that having your own opinions or speaking freely is grounds for being
insane.
So how off base am I?
