Clinton to Tackle
Nagorno-Karabakh, Georgia Issues During Trip
Officials say Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will discuss lingering problem issues from the 2008 Russia-Georgia conflict, and the Nagorno-Karabakh
dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the trip to eastern Europe and the Caucasus region she begins Thursday. Clinton will visit Poland, Ukraine,
Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia in the five-day trip.
So let us try to connect some dots to put things in perspective. Here are some of the stories that are related to some of the countries mentioned
above.
Iran on war alert over "US and Israeli concentrations" in Azerbaijan
Reports: IAF Landed at Saudi Base, US Troops near Iran Border
Third US carrier, 4,000 Marines augment US armada opposite Iran
Is the "official" agenda of discussion(i.e the 2008 Russia-Georgia conflict, and the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute) a cover up? Obama met with the
Russian president just days back and now the secretary of state is going to visit countries like Azerbaijan and Georgia that are likely to play a key
role in the eventuality of a conflict in Iran. Also, there is a huge naval buildup in the Persian Gulf.
