Be careful of these infinity traps. They can be unsettling. They really are just a distraction though, and as I said before, they can be dangerous.

Thanks for this friend. What are these infinity traps you speak of?

The throat activates when you stop thinking in words. You should stop the inner dialogue, and let the chakras flow in harmony. Like I said earlier, the main goal isn't just getting your "third eye" open, but to get the chakra system work in balance.

If you rush for the Ajna activation, it will lead to Kundalini sickness. So get the whole system to work in balance. Also, if you fall asleep, that's good. It means you're doing it right. It doesn't matter if you fall asleep, try again the next day. Also, visions are completely normal. When you meditate, you go through the events of the day. People react differently.

So, from meditation -> yoga. Yoga might just be the path to divination.

Thank you all for the insightful posts

I haven't read the whole thread but I find the easiest way to actually achieve good meditation is very similar to what every one else is saying here but with one difference; trying to activate the higher chakras when generally we are not balanced in our lower chakras creates inbalance.

Try grounding yourself for a couple of weeks and then see what happens to your stray thoughts and your talkative mind. To ground yourself, creates a strong sensation of inner calm and connectivity to nature.

If you would like to try this, you can start by a deep inbreath through the nose, and on the outbreath which you can let out reasonably quickly, consciously imagine energy inside you (from the stomach to groin area) timed with the breath, going down through your legs, through your knees and out your feet into the ground, creating a solid structure for you to stand on, sometimes it make take a couple of breaths for the physical sensation to go through your legs, and you can use several breaths to progress the energy all the way down, if you know of the earth star you can also physically create a stronger connection to this (located below the legs like a cone of energy with point facing downwards). You will know it starts working if you start burping and feeling quite blissed out.

Once you have learned to ground yourself, then you can begin working on the higher chakras.

Interesting view, i dont read material on meditation, maybe authors offer chakras meditation in your way. But starting from lower chakras shouldn't be the only correct way. I mean, in general, there cant be no correct order when you meditate. Before meditation you can't decide where will you start, you just start. Maybe you start where you feel smth inbalanced or smth, it's impossible to put into theoretical boundaries. I am the author of the article chakra balancing meditation. It took me full 4 days to write, and i didn't find how to make this step-by-step meditation. So from my view, everyone who wants to learn it, have to find a teacher, so called master and make contact with him.
