I thought this was VERY bizarre to sat the very least. Am I the only one who is concerned about this Moon guy exerting influence over congressmen? I think he's the owner of the Washington Times. Anyway he's declared himself Messiah and he did so in a Congressional Office with US Congressmen coronating him. Read this link. It's very bizarre.

Strange if true. Moonies were big scandalous news for a while, then kind of slipped from the public knowledge (for some strange reason). I've had my run-ins. In the mid 90's Moon was reported to be buying up incredible real estate deals in some parts of America with the following scam...

Buy one upper income mansion type house and move in the moonies! Such a "camp" was set up on the lawn of a home not two blocks from a house I had in Atlanta. Almost immediately the windows were boarded up, some sort of outhouse was rigged in the back and it became a sort of weighstation for the traveling disciples, with weekly festivals.

As property values fell, he bought the house next door for a steal! And on and on down the street. I learned from neighbors he was doing this all over America, was highly connected and had the money to make problems and fines go away until he got what he wanted.

Yes, it sounds like the plot from Pacific Heights, or an urban legend at best...but it happened to me!

It appears that Washington has embraced this nut-bag.

It is strange considering usually they 'Waco' these guys quick. He seems to be gaining power in Washington. And he is Korean, whatever that means.

I remeber in San Fransisco there was this big cinvention of Moonies. Me and my uncle were eating lunch, they were outside with picketsigns about AIDS being the just deserts of the "New Sodom and Gomorah" i.e., San Fransisco. They really didnt stand out much, cuz its California, which is full to the brim with nut case cults all over.

The reason he has gotten embraced by politicians is because of his nutjob views, views they hold but are too chicken# to express. Views like homos should all be fed to the sharks, and stuff like that.

this is kinda kreepy to me. all the politicos that attended and
participated said that they had no clue that he would be there
or that they were simply there to support the washington times.

Among the more than 300 people who attended all or part of the ceremony was Sen. Mark Dayton, D-Minn., who now says he was honoring a constituent receiving a peace award and did not know Moon would be there.

i would think most congressmen or at least their security and assistants
would know everyone that would be taking part in this obviusly rather
elaborate ceremony. this is on of the scariest things i think i have ever
heard. at a time of such strife and chaos we have peices of prophecy
