Has The Cyberwar Threat Been Exaggerated?

While risks do exist, they say, most of them don't truly rise to the level of war. And framing the debate in war terms could provide justification for the U.S. intelligence community to assert greater authority over what people can do on the Internet, they argue.

The united states is fighting a cyber war today, and we're losing.

No I don’t think it’s being exaggerated. Cyber warfare has been used in some recent conflicts, Russia Georgia comes to mind. I have also read accounts from a number of Intel types who point the damage a hack to the national grid would do and other utilities. Nowadays everything is computerized in some way so its logical that its would be a prime target for any enemy therefore it is important to defend cyber networks.
