I am rather fond of the Thompson Center Encore. Same frame, same action, you can buy interchangeable barrels for around $250. It is a single shot, but really, one is all you need. It is available as a handgun or rifle, you can mount shotgun barrels on it as well. Every centerfire from .22 to custom .50 caliber rounds. Limitations are based on chamber pressure mostly. Customer service from the factory is second to none. I once accidently broke part of my frame, mailed it to the factory with a note of explanation, got it back in 2 weeks completely repaired, upgraded and at NO COST!!!

it has to be the shotgun you dont have to be a good shot to take someone out with it
